<p>I'm using firefox, and I want to know if there is a way to make it so google goes not give me search results from a specific website?</p>

<p>Anyone know?</p>

I don't know of a plug in that does that, but you can do an advanced search in google and exclude results that have a specific word (like the name of the website you are trying to avoid). Not a permanent fix, but perhaps it would help?

<p>In reference to above, you can make it simpler by simply tying "-[minus]sitename" after your search terms. (Don't bother asking where I picked up boolean search techniques 'cause I have no clue).</p>

I believe that the Firefox addon CustomizeGoogle - <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/743/" target="_blank">https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/743/</a> - allows for this. Write it in a word progam you can keep open, so whenever you need to google you can just copy it once and paste as many times as you need for that part.</p>

<p><span><img alt="lurk.gif" src="http://files.mothering.com/images/smilies/lurk.gif"></span> I would love to do this too, obviously I can use booleans but that is very inefficient considering how I work... I am so sick of certain useless websites taking up the whole first page of results.</p>
