All of my PUL covers keep getting de-waterproofed. I'm not sure what I'm doing because I've been CD for five years and I've never had this problem. It really sucks because I just bought a bunch of Cloth Baby AIOs, and ds has worn them twice, and they are already ruined.<br><br>
Is there anything I can spray on them to make them waterproof again?

Do these covers have a cotton print outer perchance? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

For the cloth outer ones you can buy something called DWR (please someone correct me if I'm wrong) at a store like walmart or order it online to spray and make them waterproof again. For the Bummis I found this<br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">
<div class="smallfont" style="margin-bottom:2px;">Quote:</div>
<table border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0" width="99%"><tr><td class="alt2" style="border:1px inset;">Products that have been damaged by natural cleaning products can sometimes be saved! Repeat the following process twice: Run your covers and diapers through a wash with only hot water (if allowed by manufacturer’s washing instructions). Run a second wash using 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup vinegar in the wash - and 1/2 cup vinegar again in first rinse cycle. Run a second rinse cycle with plain water.</td>
</tr></table></div>
on the Bummis site if you think its because of the detergent you are using. Otherwise I suppose they are just wearing out. Mine stopped working after about 3 babies.

if they are covers and not true aio's i'd wash them seperately and toss them in the dryer with a fabric softner sheet. i've found that little trick to work wonders on covers.<br><br>
