We're not quite ready to start trying for a second baby, but we will be in a few months. I know it can take a while for cycles to normalize even when you do get a period post-partum.

My dd is 15 months old and still nurses frequently. Any ideas or experience as to what I can do to continue nursing but kick my cycles back into gear? Thanks!

I have known many people who have taken vitex to successfully start their PPAF and conceive shortly after that. My PPAF came back at 5 mo in spite of nursing around the clock so I can't speak from experience.

I ovulated around 25-26 months after both my kids despite trying every herbal/natural thing in the book. If you learn something that works, I'd be curious!

Good luck!

Before doing anything to jump-start your fertility, I'd think long and hard about what your current baby needs and if another pg/baby too soon could jeapardize some of that. Closely aged siblings are HARD WORK, and it's very very hard to mother 2 babies at once.

Even if your periods are not "fully normalized" right away, you'll probably still be able to conceive shortly after your first PPAF. Since you're not ready to TTC yet anyway, I'd suggest just being patient and see what your body does on its own.
