I just bought this cute wool pants and hat set off ebay the other day. Well I was checking out The Cushie Tushie site and the maker of the set wrote that it was girly and her son looks like a cross dresser. This is the set I bought for my son I thought it had enough blue for a boy. What do you guys think? Am I going to have to sell it.

eta the link. That would help wouldn't it. wool pant set

Nah! Pair that with a blue t-shirt, and it'll be fine!

(Of course, I also bought butterfly wings for my son, so maybe I'm not the best judge of "girly")

If the other color besides blue is pink (I can't exactly tell in the pix), then it's a little "girly" for me.

If it's red, then it would be ok.

Oh Jamie, I am sorry! LOL it isn't too girly for MOST people I am really sure! My husband is a SERIOUS freak about pink on 'HIS BOYS' as if some how that will turn them into drag queens or something! I am sure it will be fine for your DS!

I can take a scan of it (since it hasn't gone out yet) and you can see the colors better I think if you want, also if you would like I can make a new one for you in more boyish colors and send that one instead.

I certianly didn't mean to hurt your feelings in anyway shape or sort, like I said my DH is just a freak about his 'boys' we own about 7 football jerseys in each size, does that say anything? ~ I am so sorry!

ETA: I also edited the blog, I totally didn't mean to offend you!

That is beautiful! LOL, the PP already beat me to it: I looked down at the other picture of her son and the outfit said "BOY" so I was thinking that she just really dresses her boys like boys. I would definately put those pants and hat on my 2 year old boy, and I try to avoid girly things because he has long hair so never gets called a boy as it it, which used to upset DD to no end (DS, DH & I just wish people could accept DS's long hair as well as they accept DDs short hair---both of them have their hair the way *they want it).

That is just sooooo cute!

I think it is ADORABLE and I would definetely dress my baby boy in it - if I could afford such a beatiful wool set
I would not care about what people may think. It is different from person to person...For example, when Ilived in Denmark, people would comment on my older son wearing anything with red, orange or yellow that he looked like a girl In Denmark, baby boys basically only wear blue, green, brown and gray - how boring!!!!

Well I love it. And I'd put it on my boy. And I think Marnie's son definitely looks all boy while wearing it, despite the fact that you really don't know by looking (no hair visible, etc.). So I don't know. But I honestly love it and my little girl needs pants like that!!!! LOL

Oh yeah, it's way way too girly. You need to sell those immediately, to me, to spare your poor son the inevitable name-calling he will experience in the preverbal sandbox.

First off you guys crack me up :LOL Thanks for all the responses. With no father in the picture and ds being raised in a house of women I sometimes worry my too girly meter is not working.

I just really like the colors and am going to go ahead and keep them. Don't worry Marnie , you didn't have to change your blog. Like I said I was just wondering if my perseption of girl and boy was off.

I can't wait to get them.

LOL I asked my DH about it, and he said "well coming from us light blue is 'too girly' for our boys" LOL of course you have to know my kids, they are big rough and tumble kind of boys, and yet my 4 yr old would LOVE to be Cinderella for Halloween.

Anyway just so ya know, if you get it and decide it is too girly, just send it back (lmk I will cover the shipping) and I will exchange it for a different color! I promise you will be happy! and check the blog later too, I have pictures of your whole order that will be going up to show off the days products!

What an awesome WAHM you are!

But I don't think MSK will have any trouble selling those if it turns out that she doesn't want them.

Thanks!

And no I don't think she would have trouble selling them, but I guess I was thinking she shouldn't have to go to the trouble if she isn't happy, sending it back for a different color would save her the trouble of listing it? LOL anyway that offer stands on any of my orders (even custom orders), I want my customers happy.

That is soooooo not too girly. It's GORGEOUS!! I wish it was winter here so I could get one!! You'd be mad to sell it I reckon.

But then I do have a pink spring rose pocket dipe for my boy. Now that's girly...but we might have a girl next....(that's my excuse!) I get so sick of buying blue. It really gets dull for me, so I'm sure Luka finds it dull too.

Oh yeah, we have bright pink curtains in his room too.... I guess i'm not much of a judge of 'too girly'....Keep it!
