my d has been very under the weather, for around 10 days, but seems mostly over it now, is eaing normally and playing and walking more again, but she has suddenly developed a huge temper and is getting frustrated REALLY a lot, could the bug have sparked this or is it an age thing, she is 14 1/2 months, it just seems a bit young for her to be getting so forceful and vocal about everything. she also seem to have developed more of a separation anxiety all of a sudden and is now unsure about going to bed and other things that were never a problem.

is this a new phase or do you think she will go back to normal once she is completely over her bug?

I seem to remember that DD took a giant communication leap a couple of weeks later so I think that her language skills needed to catch up with what was going on in her head. In fact, she gets like that right before an intellectual breakthrough. GL.

ETA: She's still forceful and vocal, she just doesn't have as many tantrums.

Abby is 14.5 months, and has really been making her opinion heard here, lately! Oh, and she hasn't been sick. But, an illness can make them crankier and harder to deal with, even if she is starting to feel better (she might not be 100%, yet).

Good luck, and welcome to toddlerhood!
