I dont think it was mumps personally, it sounds like an allergic reaction or something. HMMM i dont know. I would think mumps would knock her down a little bit longer than that.

We have a housekeeper that comes in for 8 hr a week to help with childcare, laundry, etc.. She called in sick last week, saying something about her throat. The whole conversation was in Thai, and my 6th grade vocabulary doesn't include much medical terminology!
Well, she comes back today, and was discribing huge swollen glands on both sides, puffy face, itchy face, fever, had to be on IV for 2 days. Is this mumps?
I wouldn't mind if she had it, but my kids are pretty little to have to handle it if they caught it.
