i am nursing my 2 yo (25 month) twins. one of them is particularly in love with nursing. i cannot sit down. i cannot sit on the floor and play with him. i can't go more than an hour (at the very most) without nursing. every 10 mins at times is totally common. i am going batty. my other twin is not at all like that. he is happy to just go about his day and play and read with me and all the other toddler stuff. who's more typical? i swear this kid is nursing more than a newborn!!! is there anything i can do? i really want to let them self wean, but if its going to be like this, i just don't know if i can take it. not that i actually have any idea *how* to mlw, but that's beside the point.

seriously, i don't see other toddlers acting like him, though i will admit we don't know a ton of nursing toddlers, just the ones at LLL. all 2 of them besides my 2!

My dd was like that at that age too. Though fwiw it was MUCH better by 2.5 and by 3 I could nearly always reason with her about it.

At 2 1/2, my daughter was the same way. I never offered my breast during the day but I sat down .... she was right there for some mi-mi.

If my butt touches something solid DD is right there asking for "sides". If I'm changing clothes and she sees naked breasts she'll demand I sit so she can nurse.
