I found a site (through here) that sells embellished pf's. And I'd never seen it before, so I really didn't want to copy her. Then I saw another site that does the same thing, so it apparantly isn't an original thing...? My q is this: Would it be.. appropriate to make embellished pf's and sell them online? I'm really wanting to start up a business, so I'm trying to come up with lots of ideas for a wider customer base.

IMO you can! Thesame as you can sell a hand painted picture of a rose.
I sell diapers and I have had this debate about diaper patterns before and I always say there are hundreds of diapers and they all fit on babies....so they must not be too different! go for it.

Yup! The only no-no would be looking at the existing embellished products and making the SAME thing. Like say store x makes a lot of ones with purple flowers, and store y a lot with monkeys. It would be bad for you to open your store w/ just purple flowers and monkeys embelishmed prefolds.

Be original with yours and go from there

i see embellished prefolds in logal shops all the time. mostly used as burpcloths mind you, lol but you may want to check with boutiques in the area. If they are for burpcloths try adding trims to embellish as well.
Thanks for all the input! I really appreciate it. I actually made one today with some applique on it, and it came out really cute! It's not nearly perfect, but I was just planning on the 'practice' run of it.
