OK-I'm over hear a little freaked out:

I've had a burst of energy these last 2 days.

Last night at a dinner party I ate some really spicy, really good food. (BTW if you ever have a chance to try Peruvian food-do it!).

After dinner, we were sitting around talking, and my friend and I were goofing off and we started doing some silly dances. I did an interpretative dance to "las mananitas", a Mexican birthday song-if you can imagine a 9 month pregnant woman trying to dance-it was hilarious. I had to stop my dancing because the more I laughed, the more my stomach hurt-but then I realized that they were contractions-and coming intermentently. We still hung out for awhile-and then went home. When we got home I made DP time them-and they were super inconsistent. I'd have one that would last 20 seconds, then nothing for about 5 minutes, then another one that lasted 5 seconds, and then nothing for 20 minutes, then one that lasted 30 seconds and nothing for about an hour. But they are coming. Also when I laugh it hurts.

I also noticed for the first time that the baby is pushing down. I actually noticed this morning that my belly dropped a little. I was even able to wash dishes and stand close to the sink. This evening, it felt like I had a head on my pubic bone.

So anyway, I'm 37 weeks on Monday, my mom had me at 37.5 weeks-I'm getting kind of nervous-is it possible that I'm getting close? I realize that I could also just be hypervigilant and thinking everything is labor.........

Oh and BTW way (I'm editing)-the ctx don't hurt alot-they are more like tightening. On a pain scale of 1-10 they are like a 2 if that means anything.

Not to be a downer, but it just kinda sounds like later-term pregnancy stuff to me - Braxton-Hicks tend to get more intense as labor draws near, yadda, yadda ... did you try drinking a glass of water and laying down for a while to see what affect that has on the irregular contractions?

Your probably right! I actually hope I'm not in labor yet-they are getting stronger, but still irregular. We'll see.

B/c they are short and sporadic, they sound more like BH. But do pay attention to them, they could quickly become more regular (and sometimes labor ctx aren't completely regular) and develop into labor.

But, they are helping get things ready and you are getting close! Sounds like you had alot of fun (I dreamed of dancing last night, but I can't dance even in a non-pg state)

I wish I was there for that dance!

The contractions may be pre-labor. Hard to tell until it leads somewhere! And FWIW that's exactly how they were when I had dd#1 until my water broke.

YOu never know! Progress is exciting either way though isn't it.
