I noticed a couple pimple like spots on my 12 month olds leg yesterday and thought it was heat rash, but this morning (after sleeping in a loose onsie) he woke up in head to toe little pimple like spots. some on his legs look thicker (if that makes sense), kind of whitish, but they don't really look puss filled or anything. he is a bit clingy and has had a stuffy nose off and on for the last week that hasn't been a problem.

should i take him in? does it sound like chicken pox? Its saturday so i can't take him to my regular doctor--i hate getting bullied by hospital staff for not vaxing (even though pox vax is such a non-issue)...

ideas quick?

This isn't the question you asked, but if the little one has a fever: Do not give fever reducers. Giving fever reducers if it is CP can lead to complications.

I said "screw it" and we ran up to the clinic and it IS chicken pox--I was lucky with the PA-C that helped us, he actually asked if we'd be having a pox party and looked excited, lol. He also said my dd should expect it in the next 10 days...this should be a fun couple of weeks. ugh.
