A friend of mine urgently needs to talk to a lawyer versed in custody of kids in Massachusetts. She is not in MA right now so it would have to be over the phone. She can pay some but not much.

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks!

Perhaps a law school might have some low cost option for your friend...my friend an issue with her chickens and the town and I remember that someone suggested contacting the Southern New England School of Law here in Dartmouth, MA... something to look into... good luck!

If the kids are in Central MA she may be able to get help from Legal Assistance of Central MA depending on her income and the circumstances of the custody case:

http://www.laccm.org/

I've used them for housing court and elder law cases for work and they're a great bunch to work with.
