I had a really great recipe at one time for black bean burgers, unfortunatley I lost it. does anyone have a yummy version they wouldn't mind sharing? also can you freeze these after making them into patties?

This is one of our favorites!

Black Bean Burgers
 2 cups cooked black beans (or beans of your choice)
 ¼ cup grated onion
 ¼ cup red or yellow pepper
 3 garlic cloves, minced
 ½ teaspoon dried red pepper
 ½ teaspoon cumin
 ½ teaspoon coriander
 ½ teaspoon chili powder
 1 teaspoon oregano
 1 teaspoon basil
 ½ cup coarsely chopped cashews
 ½ cup sunflower seeds
 salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until texture is course but blended well.

These may be baked or cooked on the stove top.

To bake: Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil a cookie sheet.

Wet your hands, scoop out about ½ cup of mixture, then form into patties. Place on cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes or into a lightly oiled cast iron skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
