ISO:Knitted Wool Patterns and yarn

I have a lady from my mom's work who has offered to knit me up some longies,shorties, and soakers but I don't know where to get patterns or yarn..

I have a 2 yr. old ds and a new babe coming(also a ds)...

Anyone help me out..

I also have no clue on how much yarn I need..

Are you paying her to make them? Those patterns are for personal use, so if you're paying her it might not be cool... maybe someone else can help...
