It happened! Someone noticed the bump!

I was in a coffee shop ordering at the counter when a pregnant employee asked me how far along I was. Her jaw just about fell to the floor when I said I was only 13 weeks. I explained that this is my third baby and that women tend to show faster in subsequent pregnancies, that I have had two ten pound bouncing baby boys and that my stomach isn't all, er, baby. Nope. That's where I carry most of my excess weight

Anyway, it was nice that someone noticed my belly, and on the day I officially entered my second trimester!

Has anyone else had their bump noticed?

Yup, this weekend. I'm almost 14weeks. I was attending my dd's soccer tournament and the other parents I know noticed and the news quickly spread. They were very kind and sweet. It was really cool

no. I think I'm too fluffy to tell its a pregnant belly and not just fat right now-this is my third as well. However I'm 14 weeks now and hope that in the next couple weeks it will start to really be noticable!
How cute! Although it's always iffy for people to comment on bellies this early in the game, kwim...luckily you actually are pregnant.

Neighbors and people in stores are looking at my belly but no one has dared said anything yet I guess and we're not sharing yet so...

How neat! I'm not quite 7 weeks (yes, I'm a Nov person, but last baby came 2.5 months early, so who knows what DDC I'll end up in
). I was trying on some maternity clothes this weekend, and found a dress that is actually flattering on me, and BOY DO I SHOW!!!! It's an empire waist, and the dress just goes over the big bump (that is NOT baby
) and flows down - I'm even bloated above the belly button. I look 5 months in that dress. This is my 2nd baby. I bought the dress (it was on clearance, looked good on me, and fit well), but I don't plan to wear it quite yet. I feel odd wearing a dress where I'm showing THAT MUCH when I'm not even 7 weeks!

So far, the tent-type maternity tops still hang without showing a bump, so I'm not wearing those yet either. I switched to maternity pants 2 weeks ago though. I tend to expand in the waistline pretty early. With my first preg, I was in maternity pants at 8 weeks, but didn't need maternity tops until about 5.5 months. I had just started wearing maternity dresses to church, making it obvious I was showing. Then a few weeks later, I had my baby!

Today, my size XL T-shirts are starting to get caught on my belly, but it's still not obvious I'm preg yet. I think by 12 weeks, it will be really obvious though. I can't imagine how early I'll show on my third baby!

I got mine noticed and lost a freaking client cause of it.
: I run a daycare and the new child was set to start this thursday. She e-mailed me last night asking if I was pregnant because I kind of looked a bit bigger than when we first met. I told her yes, but I'm not due for a long while so not to worry about it. Then this morning she e-mailed saying that I just watch too many children under 2 for her liking. Gah. I watch my daughter who will be 2 in June, a 11 month old, and a 15 month old. While her 6 month old would be here, the 15 month old wouldn't. Stupid freaking people.

That is so wonderful.I have quite the bump already but people ask me if i plan on having anymore kids in an attempt to find out if i am pregnant or just gaining weight
At least they are polite that way because i have seen people who look pregnant but aren't!

Oh Kathryn i babysat my 2 year old, another 2 year old and a one year old while i was pregnant with #4 and it was totally fine until my eight month. Then i needed rest so bad and just couldn't keep up with all the kids. When the baby was born i totally thought it would be no big deal but it really bothered me having the other kids around. They would wake the baby up all the time and i couldn't even put her in the bouncy seat because the little ones would be grabbing her etc.I ended up quitting even though the money was much needed. So maybe it is a blessing
but i do understand your frustration because i don't agree with discriminating against pregnant women.

I get a bit worried commenting on the bump. For a split second, I am always concerned that it is not a baby, but just a large belly on someone. Unless I know, I try to keep my mouth shut!

I was pretty concerned earlier about not showing much, but my belly just popped out over the last 2 wks (i've gotten a couple comments since then). I'm 13 wks with my first preg but am having twins. My sis told me that she was my size at around 20+ wks with her first
