So the last two days I have been unbelievably tired. Like 1st trimester I can barely function tired. In the back of my mind I thought it might be my bodies way of telling me to rest up. I have also had a lot of BHs and big blogs of mucus plug. With DD I had no mucus plug or bloody show that I saw.

Last night I started getting real contractions that are quite painful. It was just like with DD where I knew immediately that the contractions were not BHs. They are also totally irregular like with DD. Sometimes they have been 10mins apart and sometimes an hour.

I also had bright red bloody show last night and this morning. It was quite a bit and made me realize what I was seeing before was probably just from the internal I had.

I am supposed to call my midwife if I have bloody show but first I want to get a bunch of stuff done around my house. :p

I am so glad I arranged to have DD go to a sitters today. I am looking forward to having a peaceful day to get all the last minute things ready.

I'm in the same boat today, minus all the show. But I have never had show before being in solid active labor for quite a few hours. I've been so tired I can barely function. My mental status which isn't spiffy to begin with is just awful when coupled with exhaustion. I've been in bed as much as possible! I nursed DS this morning and for the first time in months it was not super awful irritating. I let him suckle a long time and then we got up to start the day. I had good strong contractions for an hour that slowly lessened, spaced and stopped. I'm sure it was from nursing...yet I have this feeling that any little thing will set off this labor. It's almost like my uterus is half awake and just needs to fully realize there's a baby done cooking inside and get to business. I'm still enjoying my one solid cup of coffee and then I'm going to get up and get moving, cleaning, vacuuming, some good cardio type stuff and see if things pick up a bit. Wake up uterus! If nothing comes of it today, I will at least have a good excuse for a nap right?

Good Luck mama! ELV's to us both!

Definitely sounds like we are in the same boat!! My contrax have been every 10-30 minutes. If I do anything like vacuum etc.. they start getting closer together, but then back off when I rest. I really would like to hold off until tomorrow seeing as today is the closing date of our new house, and my mom has my grandmother sleeping over so it would be more convenient for her to get the call in morning versus tonight. At this rate I am not expecting baby M anytime too soon.

I hope your uterus wakes up and gets down to business!!

No real contractions for me, but I am more tired than I ever remember being in my life, and so maybe that is a good sign for me!

The whole back off when resting part is driving me nuts! I want to keep walking/cleaning and get it rolling, but I don't want to wear myself out getting it started and then have prolonged labor because I'm exhausted.

What doesn't help is that for some reason today the phone calls/emails have started. I haven't mentioned my "symptoms" to anyone, and have been saying my EDD is early June (I know I'm a big fat lier!) and yet today seems to be the day to bug the preggo. Like I'm going to have my baby in total secrecy and not tell anyone?! People are weird. Well, few more loads of laundry, mop the kitchen floor and I'm done cleaning again. Tick tock, back to sitting and waiting
