You would think this wouldn't be that hard but I have been to 10 or 12 stores (not exaggerating) and no luck. I am so irked!!! Especially cuz you should protect their little heads and faces from the sun so you would think this would be easy to find.

I'm just looking for a khaki little hat that stays on, and not a baseball cap (which is mostly all I saw).

Oh - stores I've tried: Target, Burlington Coat Factory, Babies R Us, Toys R Us, Meijer, Stein Mart, Baby Gap, KMart, and I know I'm forgetting some....

Thanks if you have any suggestions. =)

I order them from one step ahead and deal with the shipping price if I cant' get to a specialty store. None of the chains have good ones, imo. I like the flaphappy ones that protect their necks and are really lightweight.

Lots of WAHMs make adorable ones. These are cute http://www.babyfairies.com/store/ind...at&catId=47but I don't know how much you want to spend or what size you need.

try going intot the next department if fit is your issue. We always had to do that (as in shop in the kids department instead of toddler and now at 10 she gets hats/helmets from the adult department)

These are my favorites--I have two for each child (one in white for a family photo and then the others are in color) and we have had them for several years (their heads don't grow very fast). The fact that they can be tied are my favorite aspect of these cute little hats.

Oh and Target has cute little swim hats with animals or fish or dinosaurs on them that tie, I got one for James last year. They have nice wide floppy bills. And IIRC go all the way up to like extra large

Okay I totally just ordered those campmor solarweave ones. Those look even better than the ones I had.
And I got bendable sunglasses from onestepahead, and I've got my California Baby spf.
Now it just needs to actually be summer.

I bought a couple Kidz Banz hats for my kids last year. My kids love them and they have good UV protection. They don't have a strap under the chin, but they are adjustable, so you can get the right fit. There's an eBay store selling them for $10 plus minimal shipping costs right now. We actually bought the Banz hat/sunglass combo sets last year, but my kids didn't like the sunglasses because they never seemed to fit quite right for them.

Old Navy. That's where I've bought them for years.

This year, I bought some from a woman who handmakes all her hats (got one for me too!). They are beautifully made and not expensive, imo. Check out her site at www.gottahavahat.com. I placed my order and got all three of our hats just over a week later. (I liked that her hats have a bigger brim than the ones I've found in stores, so the hats really protect their faces and necks.) I'd order from Susie again in a heartbeat!

I always do One Step Ahead because they are spf 50 and that's pretty important to me since it's the whole point of a hat. Although the one I like the best seems to only come in "girl" colors, weird.
