We were chatting about being itchy in my DDC. You know, neck, legs, etc...

But I want to address an itch elsewhere too. It's embarassing and honestly, I don't even want to bring it up to my midwives. I was hoping someone here would have a clue.

My girly parts have been itchy for weeks. NOT my vagina as in the labia, inside or out. So I don't think it's a yeast or bacterial infection inside. It itches up above, in the area that gets puffy when you get fat

As soon as I get undressed at night, I start to itch. I will even wake up itchy. I itch all night and into the morning until I am fully dressed again.

What could that possibly be?

Have you tried a new detergent? When I was pg w/ my DS I went through about 30 clothes detergents because became so fragile. You might ask your MW. If the skin looks really dry, you might try some "Beautiful Belly Balm". I LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff. It always helps my dry skin and my big ol' belly from getting the itches..

I second the shaving... if mine gets a little too overgrown I itch like crazy. I should say I just trim it.. I don't shave it all off just leave it short enough that it can't mat down anymore. I recently had to have dh help me because I was itching like crazy but couldn't see anything.

Okay, just feel compelled to say that if you're pregnant and feeling a lot of itching (especially on the palms or soles of your feet), please see info regarding Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy at www.itchymoms.com
