I have a baby like that - it's 1 am here and she is still up - she stayed up til 4 before. I found that just getting up earlier was the only thing that helped restart her schedule honestly. So a couple mornings we only had like 5 hours of sleep.

Our boys are just three days apart in age...and similar in their sleeping it seems
. I find that we usually have two really bad nights and then a good one every third or fourth night. Last night I got from 9:30 until 1:30 straight and then he was happy to nurse and sleep with me the rest of the night. Usually we have the awake for one or two hours in the middle of the night thing going on though... Meh. My guy has obviously food allergies though, so if I just go ahead and start keeping a food journal then I might be able to help the sleep front (I'm already eliminating dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds and soy...but his eczema is still flaring horribly some days).

Is the baby happy or upset?

Mine was up from 1am till almost 6am last night, happy as a lark and wanting to play with me. Did I mention that we get up at 7am to get the big kid off to school on time?

Repeat: This too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass....
