It's a Boy! <sorry it took me sooo long to post!>

Hey gals.... so, we had our baby by C-sec on the 6th.

Brady was 10 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches, and GORGEOUS. We're totally in love.

In addition to the c-sec, we ended up getting everything we wanted to avoid-- formula being forced on him, tests up the ass, horrible nasty nurses (one esp. awful incident with Billiruben (sp?) levels and PKU testing I'll post about later), and on and on. They had a hard time with my spinal... then got it to work, got the clamps on, started cutting, and I FELT SOMETHING. "Huh, that's weird" is a strange thing to hear when you're on the OR table, I'll tell you. Anyhow, they avoided general <thank goodness!> by giving me a local and TONS of morphine.... did I ever feel loopy!

Things are going ok now... we're home, and Brady is feedling like a champ (we had tons of issues with him being hungry, and my milk not being in etc..), and I'm starting to feel better. We're still going thru lots of apts to make sure all is well... the hospital was great at making us feel like everything was wrong, and things were going to be awful... and I was so out of it the whole time. Augh.

ANYHOW.

I'm totally in love with him! DH has been amazing, and is over the moon.

Hope everything is going well with everyone!

Hugs!

Congratulations!!! How is Moose handling Brady's presence so far? We've had an ordeal with the doctors & bili levels, etc. ourselves. I can only imagine the crap the hospital put you through. It's funny how logic & education can fly out the window when you're a new parent and they throw scare tactics at you (not that this happened to you, but it did happen to me). Glad you're home safe & sound.

Thanks, chica. I was totally unprepared for a hospital experience, period. I was on drugs, and clueless, not the best combination. I should have told them to piss off, and if I'd thought of it, I would have. Brady is a trooper, though, and he's made it just fine. I hope all is well with your sweet boys!!!

Moose has been WONDERFUL with his little brother. We brought home the first blanket and hat, which I believe helped emensly!

xoxoxo
