This is the poncho and hat I just finished for my niece (modeled by my daughter briefly lol) This was one of those projects where you thought you'd screwed it up beyond repair so many times...but phew it worked out. I hope she likes it.

PS this is the hat I finally settled on. I like it! I added 10 rows to the pattern because my size turned out whack (using different yarn etc)

Thanks! I used this hat pattern...sorta lol. I didn't knit through the back loop (just did regular knit) and I added 10 more rows before the decrease rows. (This means 20 reg knit rows and then the decrease rows...27 rows in all I believe) I used what I believe is a 4 ply worsted yarn. It came in a large bag from a thrift store so I am not totally sure.
