I was anxious when I miscarried too, but only because I had no idea what was going to happen. I was very agitated and jumpy. Unlike you, though, I had well over an hour of contractions, then the feeling like i needed to potty. I squatted and pushed and out it came.

I was in awe too. Mostly over the fact my body knew what to do even when I didn't.

And, like you, I was not terribly sad, as there was no loss of life, just loss of the idea for the time being.

Very sorry it happened to you too though.

I've had that anxiety/restlessness with losses before, but I didn't with my full term labor. I think part of it is when I was 42+ weeks I was HUGE and sick to death of being pregnant and labor was a relief at that point. Plus, the whole hormonal concert was in order and not premature.

I get really restless when I am in labor and I describe it as feel "itchy". Like I can't sit down. DH says I pace like a cat looking for a place to have her kittens!

Yeah that is kinda how I would describe it, prowling for a place to do things. Its strange, I wonder what hormone is responsible for that?
