Here is what I want to do:

1) Play with my Kool-Aid and Cascade 220
2) Cast on my Skirty (in Fruit Loops!!)
3) Finish 8 zillion other knitting projects
4) watch Tivo'd episodes of SVU
5) figure out if you can knit in a bubble bath

Here is what I have to do tonight:

Go to a bar with my best friend and other friends, drink, dance, stay up til 3 am, and maybe kiss a Marine.

Do I need to straighten out my priorities? Please tell me I am not already an old woman at 23 and you all would love to stay home and knit on a Friday night...

~Devon

P.S. I did consider bringing Knitting to the bar but it's too smoky

Well, if you're old at 23 'cause you want to stay home and knit on a Friday nite, then I'm ancient at 38, 'cause that's exactly what I've been doing tonite...knitting! :LOL

I came home from work at 5:30 pm to find my DH and boys napping (DH works overnites 10pm 'til 6 am), so I figured....yay! I can get a shower without anybody bothering me (figuring boys would be up shortly as usual)...well, I got my shower, nobody up...so I come online and check all my knitting sites, email, etc...7 pm, still nobody up...so I start knitting my Booga bag and knitted 'til DH got up for work at 8 pm...still no boys up, figured they were down for the nite...well, lo and behold soon as DH pulls out of the driveway both boys are up...now it's 9:21 pm and I gotta get to bed soon, 'cause I gotta be at work at 6 am, but both boys are wide awake and watching cartoons...remind me to KILL my DH when he gets home from work tomorrow morning! :LOL

Have fun with your friends tonite, and think of me at about midnite 'cause I'll probably still be up then.

I'm always reminded of how "old" I am at 28 when I go to the gym and hear all the college girls talking about going out on the weekends..I get so excited on the weekend because DH is home and I can do lots more reading and knitting when he takes the kids outside, etc!! :LOL

Nothing wrong with your priorities..My mom used to joke that I was an old woman in a young woman's body..And I like it that way!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends the weekends at home.

I never really got the point of *going out* even when I was younger.
The whole bar/party/drinking thing never appealed to me.
Sure, I liked socializing with friends, but there are other more appealing places to do it than in some seedy smokey atmosphere where guys are leering at ya hoping to score a quickie. JMO.

It was fun... I saw some college friends I hadn't seen in awhile and I did kiss the Marine
but I was thinking about Knitting the entire time!!!

I think if I had a dh to hang out at home with, I would never go out... it's bad enough I spend nights in with my mom and sis, LOL, but on the other hand people keep telling me I should "take advantage of this time before I have kids" but all I want to do is have kids!

I think once the summer comes and I am not so tired from teaching all the time I will be more motivated, and Knitting won't be competing with Going Out because I'll have time for both.

Tonight is Kool Aid, Cascade, and Skirty Night though!!!
