We got back from Seattle this morning, and the ultrasound there indicates a healthy baby GIRL with no abnormalities. We had been afraid of a recurrence of a terrible, lethal genetic syndrome that my first daughter had.
I am still a little shocked by the idea of a daughter, though. Somehow I'd gotten this vision of me raising two sons. But I'm really excited, and relieved, and too tired to sleep.
