Here are some questions to get you started:

Where were you born? Where do you live now? Do you like it?

I was born in Chicago Illinois. I live in the same city, and I LOVE it! City life for me!

What do you know about your own birth?

I know that I was due later than when I was born. My bday is September 9th. My mom didn't have drugs - but she was also just coming out of high school as a cheerleading captain of three years. Her body was in tip top shape and she said that my birth wasn't that hard. My dad remembers otherwise. LOL! He also said that she got progressively worse with my siblings. Thank goodness for parents with senses of humor.

When are you due?

January 6th with twins

How has this pregnancy been treating you?

As far as textbook pregnancy, I have had a pretty good time. No morning sickness, no nausea, no STRONG food cravings, no swelling, stretchmarks, etc. What I do have are very stubborn twins that run from the doppler and flip like they are living in a condo style uterus.

What are you craving these days? Any aversions?

I'm actually not craving anything. I hardly eat anything -and my husband fusses at me a LOT.

What's been the best and worst thing about this pregnancy so far?

The best thing is the fact that I have been blessed with twins after suffering a miscarriage last year. That really tore my heart apart. I've also had a rather easy pregnancy for twins and I'm blessed in that aspect too. No bed rest or anything. The worst is now - prodromal labor and the possiblity of a c-section due to baby A being breech.

Are you finding out the gender your baby? What are you hoping for?

We have. We were hoping for a boy and girl to keep the family even (we already have a son and daughter) and won't be revealing until they are born.

How many kids do you want and why?

Four is enough for me, but it's an unspoken thought in the house, that if we get pregnant again, we'll be just as happy. A little frazzled, but happy nonetheless.

What plans do you have for your birth? Are they any different from past birth experiences?

My plan is to avoid a c-section and any drugs. I've done it twice before and would be most comfortable with a natural delivery. I also want mIore of the comforts of home with me on that day, so I pre-packed a hospital bag this time around. LOL!

Are you planning on babywearing? If so do you have a favorite carrier?

I am! I LOVED the wrap and wear with my daughter, and I also had a ring sling and mei tei. The ring sling came in handy during the summer, and that mei tei can carry a grown person it seems. I love all aspects of babywearing!

What type of work do you do?

I'm a stay at home mom who also is the Fundraising Chair at my son's school and I do a bit of event planning on the side.

What type of music do you like?

Mostly everything. I do keep a lot of neo-soul in the CD player these days.

Do you have any hobbies? What are they?

Scrapbooking, blogging (housefulofnicholes.blogspot.com) and planning parties.

What do you do to get away from it all?

Take a bath with a good book! It's relaxing in so many ways. Although now, I have to call my husband in at the beginning to turn the water off, and at the end to help me get out.

What are your favorite books (adult books)? What is the last book you read (non-pregnancy?)?

I love the "In Death" series by JD Robb. I just finished Their Eyes Were Watching God (which I've already read) but it was so good it deserved another go round.

What are your favorite children's books?

Anything by Eric Carle or Richard Scarry.

Is there anything you are worried about related to this pregnancy or baby?

C-sections, if I will have enough energy to put into them both with a 10 year old and a two year old. Am I good mother already? Will I be reduced to a blubbering mass of tears when I actually get to deliver. Oh, there are so many!

My great aunt lives in Wheaton and she said we have an open invitation to come any time and she will show us Chicago. I definitely have to do that! Just finding the money with two children and one on the way is difficult.

PS those are my favorite Children's book authors as well.

It is nice to get to know you ladies more! I hope you get the delivery of your dreams! I think that a C=sec would be hard to deal with after 2 natural births! Congrats on the twins! I think I would go nuts! I can't even wrap my brain around having 2 new borns! Cloth diapering, nursing, baby wearing 2 eek! I think if I was pregnant with twins I could do it but just thinking about it makes me crazy!

You should come - Chicago is a great city! I love it, and I honestly can't wait for snow, even though it seems as if I am going to be delivering in it.
