We just had our first snow last night and it is supposed to snow all weekend. Although I'm from Minnesota and living in Montana, I don't particularly care for snow but it is better than ice. If I wasn't preggo I might be excited to trying skiing and snowboarding again this year but, oh well. Glad you are enjoying it!

I can't wait for our first big snow either. I'm just bummed because this year I probably won't be able to shovel as much. I know that sounds crazy but I really love (to a certain extent) the exercise of shoveling. :) We had a dusting of snow several weeks ago but that was it.

This is my favorite time of year and I LOVE snow. However, I am plagued with a pounding zofran headache, totally constipated and still really nauseous and trying to take care of my 1 year old. It could be 150 degrees outside and I wouldn't notice or care. HOWEVER! Your childlike enthusiasm about snow inspired me...like, maybe I'll get into things here in a few weeks if I'm feeling better. Maybe I will enjoy the holiday season before it's over and it's too late. I really hope so....13 wks tomorrow and pray, pray, praying that I start to feel excited about things like snow soon.

Flakes in my area but no stickies. That's exactly how I like it. I'm on the road a lot for work and hate the driving conditions. Things look pretty from the window though...

not me! i want LOTS. if it is going to be cold anyways and snowy, then we might as well be able to play in it! there is just something so magical about playing outside in the dark and being able to see everything with big flakes coming down. eeeee!

in other news, it's friggin cold. it's -5 but feels more like -8 with the wind and the roads are super icy. i told haye i wasn't playing outside today because i don't feel good and it is FREEZING and i am coming down with his cold, but that he could play at kindergarten. well...most of the kids showed up with no winter gear so the teacher cancelled outside play. haye FREAKED OUT from the second i picked him up and reminded him that we aren't playing outside in the snow (honestly there is less than 1 cm anyways and it isn't even sticky). he yelled and screamed and tried to bite me. he made such a ridiculous scene that his friends were looking at him like he had lost his mind, and parents were staring. after finally getting him in his seat i lost it...i told him it was unacceptable for him to treat me like garbage just because he doesn't get his way and threw him in his room. for an hour. (where's that tomato smiley when i need it?) is it bad that there are 11 minutes left in that hour and i am wishing there were more? he calmed down...i can hear him playing his harmonica quietly.

*sigh*

i was forced out of bed much too early today.

I'm of the opinion that that was a much deserved time-out. Maybe I'm alone on that but oh well. :)

He can play outside when it's nicer and when you can take him skiing. That should be lots of fun.

Yeah, I am bummed about not being able to ski... My dad wanted to buy us season passes to Whiteface :( I hope he is as generous next year. We got DD on skis last year. She was 3.5, and she loved it. She still talks about it. She was too young for ski school, but we just put skis on her and took up and down the bunny slope! So, I bet at 5 he will do really well and have so much fun!!

We have not had any good snow yet, but we are not in the mountains... We have had a few flurries! I think next week we are going to get a bunch!!
