Its time to start thinking about Winter

I want to prepare ahead of time this year! I want some wool longies/pants for the boys this winter.

I wanted to try the fulled wool pants at elbee but am NOT going to go through that wait again anytime soon (I actually ordered in August and waited 8 months for my number last time, then gave it up because I wanted the pants for winter, by the time my number came, it was spring. LOL!)

Anyway, who makes some of your favorite longies and wool pants?

Wonderful Woolies has longies and has a custom order waiting list now. I am getting at least one pair of longies from Susan. They are beautiful!

I am also getting at least 2 pair of longies from Little Blue Frog Works She has really reasonable prices and lives near me so I get to go meet her.

My baby is due this winter, so I am looking for warm cozy litle things for it to wear. Can newborns wear longies?

I wanna help you out, but you gotta help me crack this mystery.... a funny name??? What kind of wool pants were they---knitted? Oh, and Renate ([email protected])who made the Binky Knits on mommy's helpers is now running solo and she is open for custom longies orders. The quality of her stuff is top notch--our longies from her are soooo snuggly. Oh and BJMarketplace is open for custom longies orders, too.

Definitely! IMO some soft longies are perfect newborn wear.

We are going all longies this winter... I hope. I plan to knit up about 5 pairs between now and then. I'm also knitting up some nice soft plymouth galway longies for my sister who is due in December.

ETA: technically they are only longies if they are from the LTK pattern... which mine are.

Not to hijack this, but what about longies if you have a crawler? My son just started crawling last weekend and I don't know if he'll be walking by winter or not. Probably, but...wouldn't they wear out the poor knees of their beautiful wool?
my son crawls vigorously in his longies---it's no problem.

I'm hoping it will act like a Swiffer, lol.

Get some Pickle Pants! They're sturdy.
