I can't stop cleaning. My friend lent me her power washer, and it's been in use all day. I just can't stop thinking of projects that I'd love to have done before I have a baby. This is seriously getting out of control.

Anyone else out there nesting and neurotically cleaning windows, scrubbing the screens, pressure washing the deck, etc?

Not so much this time but my last two pregnancies I went insane. With DD2 I had this massive list for my DH and remember that I could not let go of getting done the weirdest things. If I put it on my list...it HAD to be done. This time, I am just too tired to do more than homeschool and take care of my DDs.
I make time for relaxing and reading, that's about all that's on MY list...although I do have another list for DH.

I'm definitely nesty and driving my husband crazy. Our house is normally a chaotic den of doom. But now, if a dish is left on the counter, a towel falls on the floor, or paint looks less than clean, I am on it like a hobo on a hot dog. I have been taking on projects to spruce things up, change color schemes in rooms, and am thinking about replacing the carpet in the hallway. An unexpected side effect is my 5 and 2 year old boys' reactions. They have jumped on the cleaning band wagon and now clean their room before they go to bed every night and help pick up during the day. I know it can't last forever, but man, is it sweet!

I have the nesting instinct going on, but since I have been on modified bedrest, I have to do things slowly or have Dh do the things that I can't. I have a list and things are being added to it everyday. We are getting through it slowly but surely though.

My burst of energy is generally in the morning. DH wakes up to find I've been up for 2 hours doing laundry and dishes and whatever other project I've undertaken.

Although yesterday my energy was sustained for most of the day. Helped DH clear some brush from the back yard, take it over to the composting center, filled the van with chipped wood and laid it down as mulch in one of the landscaping beds. Yes, maybe I've lost my mind as well

I have the urge, but not the energy most days. Though yesterday I got up early and shampooed the carpets, mopped the hard floors, and cleaned the rec room which was a wreck! Today I'll be lucky to get off the couch!

The inside of our house is torn up, so I've been working outside too. Cleaning up from demolition, raking pine needles and leaves, trimming trees and getting garden stuff ready. I go crazy when I am stuck inside with all of the dust that I can't get rid of.

I've gone nuts too, but not necessarily from nesting. I'm attempting to get some house projects finished before this baby is born (including the nursery which is now currently the guest/junk room). However, b/c of the house projects our house looks like crap right now. You all know how it goes. While you are working on one room, you move everything out of that room, so then the rest of the areas look crappy while you are working on that room and the cycle goes on. My DH *should* be finished with oldest DS's room's new paint job today. So, I will feel more sane to put everything back in his room instead of having it spread out in all the other rooms and hallway. However, the next project is the hallway bath needs wallpaper stripped, painted, new counter tops and new flooring (including new flooring for our master bath that we finished, except for the flooring part, we were going to wait so both bathrooms could be done at once). Soooo, we will be back to crap-looking mode soon again and the poor baby room will be the last one to be done, b/c it's the easiest place right now to throw misc stuff in to while we are trying to finish up other projects...

I have my days too where I go nuts on the house. My energy level kind of comes and goes so more often than not, I have strong urges but little energy to actually act on it. My sister has been a mad woman, though. She is sincerely in full nesting mode - the whole taking everything out of the bathroom and scrubbing every little corner and reorganizing and everything. I wish I had it in me!

I did a bunch of cleaning before my MIL came to visit on Friday. For some reason I felt like the laundry HAD to be done... and I had to scrub out our bathtub even though she wouldn't even walk in the master bathroom. And... and... and... all I know is my body was NOT happy with me after that. LOL!

I too HAD to clean yesterday. I didn't want to do anything else until I had cleaned up. I was already feeling like that, but wasn't giving in when my ds pooped in the bath (sigh), which obviously necessitated some cleaning, and once I'd started, I just couldn't stop! I didn't have that urge at all last time - I wonder if it's different because I'm in my own house this time?
