I was there last Dec when my Kenmore died beyond all hope and I had Christmas presents to make. I hope you can find a good machine soon!

Yippee!!! Hubby went and bought me a new machine today for an early birthday present. I had already been looking at it and had the spec sheet printed out to show someone so it's not like he picked it out but hey at least I got a new machine! I hooked it up tonight and was messing with it just on some scrap material and I am in absolute heaven!! It does so many cool stitches and is so easy to use! It's not a serger but oh well, don't think I'm to that point yet. But it does have overcast stitching. It's a Brother 6000T model with like 60 built in stitches and 101 stitch functions. Oh I can't wait till I can sew a diap on it! Dying to try this baby out for real not just messing around.

That is awesome! My old Kenmore is sick and I'm borrowing a Bernina - it's like heaven so I can definitely relate to your joy! Have fun!! And what a good husband! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">
