Why? I try to be very conscious of where I put things. I'm very mindful of important documents. I have a special places for them and I have a very organized filing cabinet.

But this weekend I lost my wallet. It fell out of my pocket and I did not notice. My mother was staying with us and she just called from the airport to say she lost her passport (which is devastating to hear because she and my father are supposed to go on their trip of a life time to western Africa for a month and to do some volunteer work with an AIDS-stricken village).

My husband gets so angry because he says we're always losing things. When my mother arrived a week ago, she had lost her drivers liscense and couldn't rent a car. I lost our camera last week. She lost hers the week before.

What can I do? Thinking about something I've lost consumes me with horrible feelings of dread, guilt, and self-anger. Help! It must stop!

How are you sleeping? How does your mother sleep? If you are sleep-deprived that can cause you to lose track of things.

No, we're getting lots of sleep. I think it's all just a result of the many things that us mothers constantly have to keep afloat in our minds. You know... all the little details. Something is bound to get forgotten. I just get so frustrated. I think I just wrote this to vent on myself.

Thanks!
Sometimes I find the things I lose, but not always. I haven't found my wallet My mom called this am to say she found her passport, but her drivers liscense is still missing as is her cell phone.

Anywho, no need to respond. A new day has brought me new positive energy and new resign to be more mindful in the present moment
