I've never seen a Mei Tai in real life! Never. Ok, I don't see a lot of any kind of babywearing, but an occasional ring sling, maybe a hotsling type of thing.
The first wrap I saw was the one I bought. The lady at the store demonstrated it, and I bought it. I've never seen anyone else in a wrap.
I just purchased a Babyhawk, even though I've never actually seen one on!

I love trend setting...

Come to think of it, I'd never seen anyone using a mei tai until mine came from Baby Hawk. I love wearing mine around town proudly, convinced that this idea is about to take off and soon everyone will be wearing them.

I do know of two people who bought mei tais after they saw me wear mine, and heard me rave about it.

mei tai didn't work for me, but the babyhawk mei tai is beautiful and well made, so if that style of carrier works well for you, you will love it. they have great patterns. its so nice to spread the word about all the choices we have on how to carry our kids. when i first brought my son home all i had was the bjorn because i didn't know any better...so glad mothering had the babywearing issue come out that same time, i was introduced to world of babywearing. now i have a pouch, a wrap and an ergo...and i am sure my collection will continue to grow. hope you like your mei-tai

I just purchased a Babyhawk Mei Tei a hour ago!!! I can't wait the two weeks for it to come in!

I have a hotsling, but I'm not so fond of it. My dd Morgan hates to be in the cradle position and she's only 6 weeks so too young to be in the other 2 carries. I do carry her in a front tummy carry similiar to the way you wear in a peanutshell, but I feel like I have to keep a hand on her at all times.
Also, since it's not adjustable the sizing isn't great. I'm between a 2 and a 3, so I wear the 3 and have to flip the shoulder.

Am I going to love the Mei Tei?? I hope so!!!

What a gorgeous pic! And I love the mei tei!
I ordered this one:http://babyhawk.com/catalog.php?item...3Fcategory%3D5
Cranes on Cream with pink straps and a pocket. The cranes remind me of Korea, where I lived for 5 years and met dh.
I totally can't afford it either, especially since I just ordered a 3 pack of bG's OS diapers, 3 pack of Haute Pockets, onesie extenders and 2 Thirsties diaper covers LOL

Ah well, shopping for dd is so fun!

Thats so funny cause I got my particular design because it fits with my husbands culture (he's from mexico) I really love the fabric and I hope cause its so "cool" he might be more inclined to wear it. (in comparison to my lavendar MOby wrap - which he has worn a couple times but never out of the house (shhh- don't tell him I told you

Umm Ibrahim- my dd is really big on putting the moby in her mouth too- I'm sure she'll be munch'n straps when we get the babyhawk too- Beautiful picture!

I'm jealous of you Babyhawk buyers. They're so gorgeous. I have a Kozy that I love, but it's very plain.
