Woke up at 3am last night. No huge gush, but many little ones that left puddles on the bathroom floor (as I bent over to clean up the last puddle). Went in to the hospital to check on the kid and check that it was indeed amniotic fluid.
PH was basis, liquid pools and comes out my cervix, but there was no typical 'ferning' when they dried some liquid on a slide. Got home at 5am and went back to bed. Now I've been waiting ALL DAY for something, anything, please!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

UPDATE: Went for a biophysical profile today, which led to another test of my leak. It is amniotic fluid. My OB gave me until tomorrow (Saturday) 8am to go into labour on my own, otherwise they want to induce.

I'm bummed. Because it wasn't a big gush of fluid, there is still plenty around the kid and I'm guessing that means the kid can still kinda float around in there - not put any pressure on my cervix, not encourage my body to get into labour.

I'll be faced with a pit IV OR an oral prostaglandin pill. Either way, I'm worried that this means more pain and more problems. So far, I have two OBs opinions on which induction method to try. One says the cervical-ripening prostaglandin, the other says to go straight to the pit. I'm not sure what to do. Still have my fingers crossed that I won't have to make that decision!

Well, cervadil is what you should use NOT cytotec!!! If cytotec is suggested you should absolutely refuse it!!!

On the other hand, PIT is super strong and will cause tons of pain (sorry mama!) but you can do it either way. I have had PIT with ALL of mine and with B I went 13 hours on PIT without pain meds, YOU can do it.

But again, I'd ask for cervadil if you have a choice (unless you refuse induction all together, which you DO have the right to do!)

Good lluck mama!!!

DDC crashing from June, but pit sucks..I had it with DD then did the other with DS..I was in labor FOREVER on pit (36 1/2 hours from the start of the first IV) with no progression at all for the first 30 hours of that, They started the IV at 6am Sunday morning and sent me home at 2am monday morning, then I had to go back and start all over at 6am on Monday morning (there was NOT a single cm of progression either!) and she was not born until 6:30pm monday which..it was EXTREMELY painful and I will never allow them to do that to me again..I'd rather have a c-section.
