Thanks for starting the new thread!! I did my pregnancy yoga tape today--IOF, I suggest you try this for stress relief! I was feeling VERY low today, just frustrated and feeling betrayed by my body. Kwim? Anyway, I decided to try the tape, and it was so relaxing and felt so good physically and spiritually. I ended up in tears, just letting go of all the baggage. Anyway, I highly recommend it, my hip pain is gone, my back feels great, and the baby just loved it.

I just talked to the gal I babysit for. She had her son 8 weeks early. She was told he was 34 weeks so he should be fine but oops he was born and they went..oh crap! Luckily he was perfect and even went home in a week! They just kept him for observation. She was on bedrest for 3.5 months, in the hospital, on one of those slanted tables with her feet high and head low! She assured me that if I did end up on bedrest or something she would make sure my dh and ds were taken care of Which makes me feel better!

I'm wondering if I'm dehydrated from the loose bowels. So, I'm guzzling water. But I'm still having the contactions they are jsut farther apart and not as intense. Dh wants me to call the mw tomorrow and see if i can have my appt changed to tomorrow.

I don't have a yoga tape but I'm going to maybe go to the library and see if they have one.

Hello ladies!

Remember me? I haven't posted here since about Aug or September. Just been that busy I guess! Go figure.....you'd think I had a "real life" or something..... Oddly enough, I also lost all inclination to get online.....really weird for me!!!!! These pregnancy hormones must be affecting me more than I thought! Anyway, looks like I've got some catching up to do with the reading. I have to re-meet all of you!

I hope that everyone's pregnancy is going really well. My own seems to be going steller. I am 21 weeks along, I've gained 13 pounds, I'm feeling lots of movement, and we have our 1st ultrasound tomorrow!!!! Wheeee! Are we going to find out what gender the baby is? Yes, IF the technician can tell us with a 90% certainty and IF Junior decides to cooperate. I am very excited and a little nervous. I'm planning a home birth and my biggest fear is that my placenta is covering my cervix, which the ultrasound will (hopefully!!!!!) be able to rule out. I know the chances are slim that anything like that has happened, but my 1st birth was a c-section and sometimes the placenta will adhere easier to scar tissue, or so I've read. So any and all well wishes sent my way are always greatly appreciated!!!

My, I'm chatty! I look forward to reading all of your posts and catching up with all of you within the coming weeks. I think my "on-line" hormone is functioning again, although we'll see how well my "time-manangement" hormone is working......

Healthy, happy pregnant belly hugs to you all!!!

OK, so I'm using the computer to procrastinate....what's new??

Well, I'm back from my whirlwind trip to MN. Very cool! I walked SO much and my belly hurt and my legs hurt....oh it was wonderful! The best part was visiting a store called Pea Pods and they had cloth diapering stuff and lots of slings--I was in HEAVEN!! They mostly had lots of wooden toys, but I was diggin the CDs.

Anyway, I'm glad to be home, and I'm not in pain anymore--just super tired. I have my MW appts next week and also prenatal classes start. I'm curious to see how I'm measuring and gaining.

I love my prego belly!!!

Glad to have you aboard Wendygrace. Great to hear from you too Painted Horse.

Emma Jean- that store stounds awsome! I've been trying to figure out how to make a store with diapering products and slings successful. I guess the wooden toys would draw people in. What a neat idea. I really think more people would CD if they could see the dipes in a store instead of having to guess about them online. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my theory. They're (CDs) just sooo cute and people really have the wrong idea about what's involved. But, I'm a little obsessed with it so my bias clouds my vision.

IOF- I'm really worried about you. You've had one crisis after another with this pregnancy. Do you get any down time in your day to meditate and relax. It sounds like you could really use it. Even if you don't do yoga you could benefit from the breathing exercises. Check out Sound Body Sound Mind by Dr. Andrew Weil. He gives some great breathing exercises to help you relax and become more self aware. Also, the water can't hurt and it sounds like it may already be helping a little. Keep up with that. You might add a package of Emergen-C to the water to give it a little flavor and some added electrolytes. Since you've had loose bowels you really need to replinish your body with fluids. Emergen-C is really cheap too. You can get a package for about 50 Cents at the health food store. I like to stock up on it in case someone in our family gets a stomach virus.

I'm a single mom for another few days while dh works several hours away. He left yesterday and gets home late tomorrow. I really miss him when he's away. At least I'll have him this weekend and most of next week. I am babysitting for a pregnant friend tomorrow so I am taking the girls to the zoo if it doesn't rain. Hopefully I'll get my exercise in that way and tire out the girls at the same time. I had them both yesterday and we went to the pumpkin patch which was perfect for wearing them out, but a little far away to benefit me. They slept in the car on the way home and when we got home they were wide awake. At least her mom came to get her about an hour later. They can't wear me out too bad in an hour. I have an article with a 12PM deadline to write so I better get after it.

Hope everyone is feeling great!

Our lives seem to be nice and calm till I get pregnant! That seems to be when it falls apart 3

Dh wants me to call the mw today. I have an appt tomorrow but he would rather I go today. Not sure I can get in but I'm going to call! I'm thinking I'm dehydrted. With all of the diarhea I bet I have more of a fluid loss problem than I thought I did. I've also been wondering about maybe a uti or something I don't know about. Can you have those without realizing it?

I told dh last night that he doesn't need to orry about me wanting a third child. I don't know if maybe I jut have an irritable uterus or what but I would be afaid to get pg again. If things started early with this babe I can't even imagine with a third. With ds the contractions didn't start till around 30 weeks which even though it was early was a lot more reassuring than at 20 weeks.

Emma Jean--glad you had a good trip and that store does sound cool!

Welcome wendygrace!

Tracy is really grouchy today.... it makes me feel like after a little while. He still has that diaper rash and it has come back a little and every time he pees of poops he screams cause it burns Not to mention the runny nose he got from the boy I watch...

Just have a second before I run DS to preschool, but you could definitely be dehydrated from the diarrhea. And you could have a UTI without knowing it...when I wentto the hospital, that was the first thing they checked. I'd call today, it will help to know what is going on. Let us know how you're doing!

I agree about the UTI. It also might explain your weird pains. It is important to detect UTI's during pregancy b/c they are a big cause of PTL! I hope you can get in to see your mw today and talk about all this with her.

Take care!

OH, btw, the store I went to has a website: www.peapods.com I think that's it. The toys were the major part of the little shop, and they had slings, books, dipes, layette-type stuff, hats, etc in the back and one side. I think you can see pics of it on the website.

I've heard the same thing about GBS. But i didn't have it with ds but I'm not sure where it comes from either!

BTW---ds is running around in REAL undies! He looks so cute in them. I can't wait to be out of diapers! A friend gave us hand-me-down toddler underwear. He has that horrible diaper rsh still and since they say air is a good thing for diaper rashes and I'm wondering if it is partly the brand of diaper we use (he can't wear huggies because he breaks out). So, the rash is looking better but I'm afriad when I put on a disposable that the rsh will come back!

I have Meg running around in cloth pull-ups b/c she is using the potty a couple of times a day...but it sure does make a horribly terrible mess to clean up when she poops in them...

Yeah, Tracy did that too....it looks ike he has a little bit of the runs which made it really gross!

He seems to like them and they are doing his rash good I think I might go looking for some covers to the prefolds I already have....

Mothernature---Thanks for the cd-ing on a budget info! I'm looking into it! Dh said his only concern is that I'll get behind on waashing them...since I'm bad about doing laundry...

Yes, Meg had diarrhea in them yesterday and it was truly the worst poop cleanup I've ever had.

You wouldn't necessarily get behind on washing dipes b/c they are kind of fun to wash - honestly! Even if you did, though, you can always keep a few sposies around for backup.

IOF-I just wanted to add that CDing was the one thing that inspired me to stay on top of my laundry. I really wanted to CD and I didn't want my house to smell like pee or worse and in the beginning I only had 1 dozen dipes so I had to get after it to stay in the game. Also, folding them was kind of nice. They're so cute and little. Good luck on the covers.

Oh, I also wanted to say that there has been a stomach virus that went around here that was pretty nasty. Those of you who are complaining of diarrhea and the like might have that stomach bug, so don't assume the worst until you've seen the mw or doc. Dd had it for almost a full week. I think some of you remember my post about dh's instant kharma day. This morning was the first day she's woken up and had a normal stool. I know, TMI.: She has had her appetite back too so that's a plus and I've finally gotten some fluids down her.

I have to pat myself on the back. I finished my article and they loved it!!!! I feel so much better having that out of the way and not having to make any revisions. Now just one more day of babysitting and then I get dh back! He is suffering in a podunk rural hospital that won't even spring for a room for him and he has to sleep in an old retired hospital bed with a lumpy mattress. He'll be happy to be home I'm sure. We might just make it through this week after all.

I guess I better get after my kitchen if I plan on cooking anything in it tonight. Think positive pregnant thoughts!

I was on modified bedrest during the end of my first pregnancy, I was lucky not to have little one's to take care of. The hardest part about modified bedrest is that you, as well as some around you, may not take it seriously enough. So, please, get some help with the kiddo at home, and be laying down as much as you can. You would be surprised with a little planning how much you can do while laying on the couch.

I am definitely sending prayers your way, and will do so for the next few months while your babes stay put right where they belong.

(((HUGS)))
