I bought Jasmine Rice because I love it. However, the package has directions for both with or without the lid? WHich is better? What is the difference? Thanks.

Interesting - I've never thought of making rice *without* using a lid!

I cook my jasmine, when I want sticky rice half off and on lid

2 cups rice
3 cups water

boil on high (approx 10 min) until water line is below rice. You will see pitting in the rice. Put lid on rice, heat down to low and cook for approx 10 min.

I finally am able to consistently make good sticky rice.
