Hi everyone. Just thought I'd come over and delurk. I'm now just over 8 weeks pregnant and finally accepting that there is a wee one (as if the ultrasound wasn't enough, for some reason I don't believe it until I can feel my uterus popping out a bit). <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
I am a mama of three, wife to one <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> but this babe isn't mine. I am doing a surrogacy for good friends of mine. I am done having my own babies (very done <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"> ), but I love being pregnant. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/innocent.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shy"><br><br>
Just thought I'd say hi!

I think that is such a wonderful thing you are doing, what an awesome thing to do for a friend <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">

"if that's okay?" Of COURSE it's okay! Why wouldn't it be? You're no less pregnant than anyone else here!<br><br>
I've told myself that, if I really, REALLY want to be pregnant ever again after this one (which will be our last child), I can always surrogate. ;-) We know at least one couple who might very well be interested.

Welcome and congratulations. How wonderful that you have chosen to be a surrogate. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">

As miserable as I'm feeling right now, being a surrogate seems like an even more wonderfully selfless, kind thing to do than it usually does. I mean, all the m/s and you don't even get to keep the baby! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">
