And since I started the new exercise thread... here is the new daily menu thread. I will start

B: Sweet rice made with soy milk, a little sugar, and 2 hardboiled eggs

S: Sliced white peaches (probably about 1 1/2 peach worth)

L: Chicken soup (mmm, so glad I know how to make it like my pap pap used to ) and a french roll for dipping... I know, thats a little weird.

S: Peanut butter & carrots

D: My yummy homemade spaghetti & meatballs (2 servings )

Water: between 3 quarts and a gallon... thankfully the soda is out of my house but now that we have juice I drink that a lot (tho diluted 1:4 w/ water...)

I think I need more calcium/dairy in my diet but it just doesn't sound good. There is no cereal in our house or that is what I would have eaten all day

I'm not eating much! I have had a bout of nausea the past few days, I think as a result of drinking a decaf mocha. Not sure what happened there. Anyway,
last night for dinner I had mac & cheese, turkey, and mixed veggies. This morning I had a granola bar & extra peanut butter. My appetite is coming back a little bit, so maybe lunch & dinner will be more exciting...

I have been doing so well. With our busy work schedules, we went out a lot, but now almost everything is locally grown (when we can get it) and home cooked. We're doing great on using what's in the freezer and leftovers, but are leaving for a long weekend with family today and so this good eating is probably on its last day.

For yesterday:
B: Floradix, juice; Chocolate Silk w/ calc./mag. supp.; Raisin Bran with Silk
B 2: 2 fried eggs and toast with Ikea Lingonberry preserves on top
L: 1/2 Almond butter and jelly sandwich; blueberries (out and about)
D: Floradix and juice; Spaghetti and meat sauce; baby carrots
S: apricots
D2: Spaghetti and Meat Sauce

The Daily Plate has really been helpful in tracking my protein and calories, but I need to go back in and figure out the Iron, and Calcium to really make sure I'm doing what I need to be. Those two were my biggest challenges.

Off to pack up healthy snacks for our 5 hour drive (without stops for my sacrum or our kitten not included.) Wish me luck, ladies, on getting good meals with MIL at the helm of a kitchen in the mountains-- her summer dinner time is 9:00. My first dinner time is 4, and bedtime falls around 9. I'm getting cranky already!

Not sure if you're having the above all at one time but for best absorption of the iron in your Floradix you should try and take your cal-mag supp at a different time. Just thought I'd point that out to ya.

Today went like this so far . . .

Breakfast: Egg and a bagel, strawberries, tea

Lunch: Peanut butter and banana sandwich, raw veggies, and watermelon

I have nothing junky to eat in the house right now and all I want is something snacky and empty in calories.

Dinner: Not sure, either steaks and green beans and fingerling potatoes, or maybe takeout Japanese.

Do I have to be specific in detail or can i just say that I have been craving HOT SAUCED EVERYTHING like a crazy fiend? Seriously, I can't get enough of anything, especially Mexican-type stuff, with hot sauce! the spicier the better!

yes actually I have had a bit of indigestion sometimes but that is easily remedied with some natural HFCS-free ginger ale. I don't care, I told my husband today this is what a drug addict must feel like because I HAVE TO HAVE my HOT SAUCE.

(this is a boy thing for me, I don't remember cravings like this for anything with my daughter. With DS, I definently had them, I had a soy-sauced rice phase, a Mexican phase, and a Twix bar thing. this one is also a boy according to the pics.)

One quart pregnancy tea

Thinking of some yogurt w/a nectarine again before bed... it's something sweet w/out being too sugary.
