The Movers come on Saturday morning, so this is going to be a jam-packed week for us! Things are coming along pretty well, but still there is always little things that take longer than you expect.

Is anyone else already experiencing a dose of middle-of-the-night insomnia? I'm fine if I stay asleep, but if something wakes me up between the hours of 2 & 4, it is SO hard to go back to sleep and on a few occasions I just end up getting up for a couple of hours! This didn't happen until much further into my pregnancy with Tessa; at this stage last time I think I was still passing out at 7 pm and waking up 12 hours later!

Otherwise, everything's good! A wee bit of nausea here and there, but nothing remarkable (thankfully!)

Good luck with the move! How exciting, exhausting and stressful!

Today I'm feeling great. Isn't it amazing how different each day can be? I wish I was still in bed, but otherwise, it's a good day!

I have my second appt. tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it!

Hi I'm Kris. Hope no one minds me jumping in here.

slygrrl- Good luck with the move. No insomnia yet here. I usually get it later in the pg though.

babytime- glad your feeling better. I long for the less exhausting 2nd trimester, I hope to get alot accomplished during those months.

I'm still tossing up my breakfast most mornings but can hold down that late night bowl of ice cream
That counts for calcium right?

I'm exhausted all of the time but not willing to give up my precious one hour a day alone at night by going to bed with the girls. DH says he doesn't have much sympathy for me when I refuse to go to bed the moment I have the opportunity. That's because he has lots of alone time to just process his thoughts, I'd love just an hour a day without having to multi task everyone elses needs.

Big camping weekend coming up. Hopefully m/s is on the light side so we can get in some hiking.

I'm still pretty sick, but I'm managing most days. I'm already uncomfortable on my back at night, the pressure is just so much! Sleeping on my back is my favourite position, so this is unfortunate for me.

It tastes pretty strong, but I bought some crystallized ginger and I nibble it every now and then. A friend bought me some preggie pops, but I see that they're really just sugar. Does anyone find they actually help?

I'm 10 weeks today and feeling less and less nausea (yay!). I do find that I'm eating all the time, but can only fit in small meals at a time. I'm also eating really slowly.... it's all good though.

I'm eagerly awaiting a bigger belly though.... it feels surreal to be pregnant, but not look pregnant- I wanna feel my belly and my baby!

Hi Ladies,

I just hit 12 weeks. Doing good so far, as long as I take my prenatal in halves. If I take the whole thing at once, it makes me so sick. I had gained 3 pounds, but I have lost nearly 2 now. My next doctors appointment is next week, so we should be able to hear a heartbeat. Once I hear the heart beat, I think I will feel a ton more confident.

Here's to an uneventful week.

Had my first official appt today with the midwife...we couldn't hear a heartbeat, but she based on my exam she thinks i'm further along than 9/10 week - possibly as much as 11 or 12....oops - didn't realize my math was off that much - too much craziness going on in April to think about it. Going for an u/s on wed. to do a dating.

Still a bit of nausea, but nothing too bad. And thank goodness most of the fatigue is over.

I hear ya about not looking pregnant and so it's kind of surreal. I feel the same way. Still haven't told anyone yet b/c I'm waiting for my brother to have his kid (any day now!). But all family is coming up Wed for something else, and they are going to be curious why I'm not having a beer with them all. May not be able to hold off the questions.

glad to hear everyone is doing mostly ok.

Hi everyone. I had my second prenatal appointment yesterday. They did an ultrasound and we saw the heart beating. The baby also moved around a little bit. It is still so little though. Only 2.6 cm.

The dating ended up being exactly right on with my LMP. So that's cool.

I'm glad most everyone is starting to feel a little better with the nausea. Mine was very mild to begin with and it's getting better.

Can't wait to hear about everyone else's appointments.

Hi y'all!
I am tired moody, and naseous. Ugh. I can't wait for the first trimester to be over. That and my mom is being a big pain in the a** about waiting to tell extended family until 13 weeeks. I really don't know why I tell her stuff. She gets so excited for herself she doesn' t stop to think about me. I'm pretty superstitious and introverted, so we've only told the people I would tell if had a mc.

I just feel really whiney and weepy. Yesterday there was a little boy (like 2yo) wandering around in the street and there was a woman who stopped to help. There was was nothing I could do with DD and the dog in the car, but it's still upsetting me. I hope he's alright.

Ugh. Sorry for the whine...I'm a little blue too. Hope everyone is doing well!

Nausea seems to come and go. It's here today. I've only thrown up once this hwole pregnancy. Still can't even look at the bottle of prenatal vitamins. Today I'm wicked tired. DD is staying with the inlaws for the week, so dh and I have some alone time. We went to the movies, and ended up staying up late. I'm paying for it today.
I'm having a hard time deciding on a midwife. One came to our house in Saturday and we really clicked. Yesterday I met another one, and we really clicked, too. Decisions, decisions. Friday I have an appt with a CNM--the backup practice should the homebirth fall through. Right now I really just want to crawl under my desk and take a nap. We're having house-buying drama that I'm just too tired to think about...
nighty night, guys.
we need a "mind numbingly tired" smilie

Hi ladies...
I feel Ok, my m/s isn't bad, but I have been randomly puking (blech) and I'm not loving that. Oh, and if I don't keep moving constantly, I will fall over and sleep wherever I happen to be. Thank goodness for toddlers! They keep me going. I have insomnia too, I just toss and turn...ugh. I'm a little more weepy than normal, but I'm emotional normally anyways, so no one seems to notice! :LOL Hmmm, haven't been craving much, actually, I haven't been that hungry, which I blame on the heat.
Oh, I don't remember who mentioned it, but I think its very unusual to feel fetal movement before 16-20 wks. The baby is just too small and deep in the pelvis before then. At 10 wks, your uterus is barely coming up over your pubic bone. So, don't worry if you don't feel anything for a while. Same with the hb. My midwives have always checked, but usually don't hear a hb until around 12 wks, for the same reasons mentioned above. I had an us at 7+ wks and saw the hb, but didn't hear it, and don't expect to for a few more wks.

Hello everybody...
I've been lurking but haven't joined the discussions yet, but thought it would be nice to have this relationship throughout the pregnancy, so I will hop in.

I think I was one of the first to post here on the due date club when I found out I was pg, but haven't been back much since. This is a nice little chat page here.

I am STILL very pukey, and can hardly get down or hold down the prenatals, even though everything is plant based and liquid. Amazingly the easiest thing to get down is the cod liver oil which I thought would be impossible. Oh well. With my first pg I was puking for 6.5 months. I hope this one goes a little easier than that.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Everyone! Vegas Mama - I hope you feel better soon!! I definitely want to be more involved, but life just carries me away some time.... Anyway here is how my pregnancy has been:

THE GOOD

Yesterday, I hit twelve weeks (as calculated by my LMP, but we think from the u/s I am a few days ahead) and I finally feel safe!!!!
My food aversions are starting to get better, although all I could stomach for lunch today was a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato.

THE BAD

I am already in maternity clothes (I decided to jump right in) and feel very uncomfortable since I not really showing yet, just looking big and frumpy. My lower back has also started to really hurt and I am starting to get leg cramps at night...

THE UGLY

I have started getting really, really awful headaches. One hit me at the gym while I was working out and I couldn't help from crying, it just hurt so badly.
To make matters worse, I ran into one of the mom's (who is a trainer there) from my son's preschool who noticed what was happening and let the manager know. Once he found out, he wouldn't let me leave the gym because I was a liability!! I spoke to my practitioner about it and she said that they were caused by hormones.

Hi, all. Glad to hear how everyone's doing. I've really been struggling with the m/s and fatigue, but it seems to be getting a little better. Instead of being disgusted by everything all the time, I'm wanting sweets. I've found that I can make a mostly-milk milkshake, with just a tiny scoop of ice cream, that makes me really happy and holds off the nausea for a while.

I'm just counting the days until the end of the first trimester and, I hope, the m/s and intense fatigue. Since this will be my second and last child, I will be more than happy to say goodbye forever to the m/s.

Everyone be well!

I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow. I also have a ob appointment tomorrow with another u/s. I've had morning sickness really bad, most days I don't get out of bed. I've had a good last 3 days so I hope it keeps getting better. I'm already in maternity clothes. I'm having twins and I look like I did at 20 weeks with my first.
