Just counting the months 'til we can start TTC. : I'm enjoying watching my chart and getting a good idea of what my body does when.

I want to be pregnant NOW but we're likely moving in December and I REALLY don't want to be pregnant and moving. Again.

We're good! We just got back from some fireworks and Evie screamed when we left! She loved them and would say WOW! over and over. It was so cute.

She also loves the pool and just swims and swims with her little arm wings on. I know they aren't the best, for learning to swim, but I don't stress out as much about her falling in and me not being able to get to her is she has them on. We're going to work on swimming without, but really, she'll get it in time. Caleb was jumping off of the diving board today, and she wanted to go too. She's definitely the little daredevil!

I hve a good excuse (not living in the us) but still.... I totally forgot it was the fourth!!! my dad sent me an e-mail saying he would be home most of the day and I could not figure out why he would ot be working! lol so we did nothing for the fourth, next year we´ll make up for it

here is a picture from one of the wooden toy stores, it was dreamy in there. I was so overwhelmed I couldn´t think straight about what I "needed". I got enough though to swich out a lot of her plastic toys, thankfully.

Sydneys had a little work explsion the last week or so which has been fun. Other than that we´re enjoying catching bumble bees in glas jars and then letting them go. I think we do that every day!

Kerri - could you get a second opinion about your condition and inducing. it seems to me that if you monitor it closely towards the end you should be able to go into labor on your own. I personally would do my best to avoid induction. You´ve got your research cut out for you

Kari - that toy store looks AMAZING! and thanks! I'm cautiously optimistic about the baby thing. haven't gotten a definitive "yes" from DH yes, and I still have my IUD so right now it's a theoretical hope.

Sarah - YAY!!!! We're nowhere near potty learning. Samantha has big girl panties, but doesn't wear them, and rarely agrees to sit on the potty. : Oh well. We've gotta figure it out eventually, right? I'm hoping that since she and Jackson are so close in age that they'll learn around the same time because Jackson wants to do everything his big sisters do.

I wish we could find a groove! sounds dreamy. maybe we just have to wait until we've got more kids before we find one

We had to be at the embassy at 8:30am for a green card interview, I was really tired from waking up early and wanted to take a nap when we finally got home. I was down for a little over 30 min. Still groggy from my nap I came out to meet sewing pin's all over the hallway and dd's bedroom, and shavings from Marsha's cage around the living room. upon asking dh what he was doing while Sydney was causing havoc: " I was making dinner!" Beautiful pictures, Sarah!!

K just had her 2-yr checkup, and man is she still huge. She's 36-1/4 inches and 29 pounds 8 ounces. DH, who is 6 feet 3 inches, was only 36 inches at 2 yrs. I'm scared! She's already over half my height, I'm only 5 feet tall. !!! She's 97th+ percentile for height, and 75th percentile for weight.

The "tall for age" issue made its first appearance yesterday. We had our second mommy & me gymnastics class. She's the only one who doesn't sit patiently and wait for turns, she wants to go go go and run around and screeches if it's not her turn, etc. Which is fine with me, and fine with the instructor - it's only her 2nd class, and the instructor is totally cool with it and knows that she'll get with the program sooner or later...D went through the same thing (minus the screeching) for his first 4 or 5 classes until he got used to the format. I walk her around in between turns and make sure she's not disrupting the class. Soooooooo. I was holding her on my hip waiting for her turn at one point and she screeched and threw herself backwards. One mom asked me, "when did she turn 2?" and I said, "2 weeks ago" and she said, "Ohhhhhh. My daughter wil be 3 in 2 months." and I said, "Big difference, huh?" and she said, "Yeah - she's so tall I thought she was older!"

Oy.

Our friends son is tall for his age, and I always think he's older/maturer than he is.
We don't see them often (like 1-2x's a year) He's going to be 3 and last time we met with them I asked if he was starting school soon : I'm such a dork sometimes!

Thanks!

We get the "she's so tall!" comments too, but we also get the "oh, she's 2? Really? She's so skinny!" As if 2 year olds should be chunky or somethin? She was 34.5" at 2, which, considering her early start is pretty good. She just hit 2 (adjusted) on 6/27 and was 36" then. I'll be curious to see how tall she ends up being. Ped is guessing she'll be between 5'8" and 5'10". I'm 5'5" and DH is 6'3". Interesting.

Hey old friends! Figured it was time to check in since I just found out Tatum will be getting a brother or sister sometime in late March! So excited. Dh is working a temp job still (gettin paid really well but not for much longer), but he may have clinched a perm position at the company, not paying as much, but its a great job otherwise (and a way in IYKWIM), so he'll know Friday they said. Rumor is he got it, though. Crossing fingers, especially now finding out I am pregnant! But, one thing I have learned over the last seven months - everything can work out somehow and you can still be happy while waiting for better things.

We actually just made a trip to LA to visit our very good friends (my bff since grade school and her dh) - they are trying to do big things out there and so far I think they are doing fabulous...they will be rich and famous very soon I think. I won't say I didn't like LA, but it sure is a different way of life and the people seem to mostly live in a completely different world from me - but it was nice to step out and experience. Glad to be home, and glad to have no more long plane rides upcoming with my two year old who can't/won't/doesn't ever sit still.

Love to hear more of what's going on, gals. Kerri? How's pregnancy and how far are you now? I missed last month, so from what I read here apparently something is going on requiring a decision to induce?

Kari - thanks for link, and wow, I cannot believe you are due in only 4 weeks. Goodness, I remember you announcing you were pregnant - and now 9 months later, thats me, its just crazy crazy crazy. Time goes so fast. how cliche but true.

My nipples seem to feel sore a little already and Tatum has been asking to nurse more frequently than ever...of course - normal for him when two teeth are popping through as we speak - but I am feeling angry about it and not liking that feeling at all.

Peace.

Wait, so is she nursing again now?

I am a little worried about my milk drying up soon...because he still has six teeth to go...yes, seriously. And, he really really seems to need to nurse when the pain is bad and he cannot go to sleep without a little help from his nursies. I guess he could still nurse though, just no milk. But, that'll be up to him I guess. We'll see. I am just a little anxious to see how it all works out. I am going to try hard not to try controlling much of this...but, I think I'd be fine with him weaning when the milk goes. Less to worry about, and I truly think he is almost ready...it seems he wants it out of habit for seeking a comfort, but when he gets it, I can tell he doesn't really need it or even want it...he's on and right off, everytime. OHhhh...joys of nursing.

Any stories of experience from anyone? I would like to hear more since I only know a few women from my LLL group who nursed through a pregnancy all the way or even partially.

Life is crazy! Olivia is hitting the potty hard, she's asking to go all the time. Like way lots. I'm a bit conserned. We do have bladder issues on dh's side.

We went camping and the kids love it. She went fishing touched a fish, played with the bait and was singing to the worms.

I'm lost with you. It seems, I come around in spurts. I have all these intentions, but you all know how it is...

Evie seemed like she wanted to try to pt last week, but now she's all but lost interest again. It's like a huge circle we keep going in. I got some cloth trainers, but she's just peeing in them anyway. Oh well, at least it protects the couch somewhat.

Any stories of experience from anyone? I would like to hear more since I only know a few women from my LLL group who nursed through a pregnancy all the way or even partially.

Hi, I have an 6/06 dd and a three month old. I nursed the entire pregnency. My supply got low but there was always milk. There were some days where I hated it and other days it didn't bother me at all. Dd kinda figured it out, stopped nursing at night and made it through.

After baby came she was in heaven though. She nursed and nursed and nursed. She stopped eating most food and started nursing during the night again. The first month was a really hard adjustment but one night she stopped nursing, patted my breast, and said "baby nurse" and we haven't had any problems since. She knows she has to take turns b/c the baby can't eat big girl food. Every time I nurse the baby she comes and gets a "snack" just to make sure she still can I guess. At night, she can nurse until I count to ten (I count pretty slowly) then the baby gets to nurse. She's really great about it. When I say ten she pops off and says "bye mommy", turns over and snuggles with her daddy.

Anyhow, the only advice I have is one those days where you're getting really really annoyed and you don't think you can do it anymore, just wait a day or two and those feelings just might go away. I really thought I might have to wean her, but every time I said if I still felt that way in a day I would do it and everytime it went away. I don't know if there was a sudden horomone jump or what, but it didn't last.
