Maura's wandering about in a plaid jumper, unzipped, no shirt, dragging a tennis racket.

Miriam is being all in-your-face-notice-me-mood-swing drama princess.

Sean is ignoring her, despite her saying "Sean!....SEan!....Sean!....SEAN!....SEan!....SEAN !..." from the other room.

When I came downstairs, I foiled Sean's plot to leap out and surprise me, just by noticing him trying to be stealthy.

Collin was watching a program about UFO's and the White House. I switched it to Apollo 13. He then quoted facts about Apollo missions, while Sean kept saying "Houston, we have a problem."

Dh is upstairs, coding for charity.

I'm hiding in my office.

And hopefully, the hamster is still in his cage (we spent three hours the other night searching for him in the boys room, the hallway, the bathroom and our room, only for the tiny dwarf hamster to be in the girls room.)

Yep, just another typical morning. Is it too early to start drinking?

Nope. Not too early at all. I'll join you. Here's my list:

Been to the walk-in clinic with the baby who has a nasty viral rash, infected ears and throat and oh yeah, third time's a charm with the nebulizer (3 colds, 3 times needing the neb) = let's chat about maintenance asthma med.

Mark's had SIX headbanging episodes since I got back home, an eaten 1 small foam block.

Timothy has asked me eleven times about playing computer pinball.

DH did NOTHING sensory with the boys in the 2 hours I was gone, so they are both a total disaster, which probably explains the 6 headbanging episodes. Mark won't let me brush him, and he wont' let me change his diaper.

I have to go. Jeffrey is awake, crying, and needs a neb. Mark's time timer is no longer red, which means it's time to wrestle the alligator into his bed. Oh, and Tim jmust hit in the face with a wooden block.

Vodka. On the rocks.

And I thought the dog being dragged to the bathroom for a surprise bath (i knew things had gotten too quiet) had made my morning tough! I stand corrected.

Well its bedtime in London, right?

I took my DS on errands thinking the walking would wear him out. Not so much. He seems more anxious.

and as the day went on...

Maura threw a hissyfit because I wouldn't let her eat her weight in Little Debbie snacks.

I finally had enough of Sean playing target practice with his nerf gun and anything hanging from the ceiling (fan, decor..)

Miriam getting handcuffs stuck on her wrist (they're Sean's toy ones, get your minds out of the gutter, lol!)

Maura got mad after I said no to Vitamin water, so she threw the container and then said "Uh oh." Yeah, not good.

Maura's back on her Little Debbie Crack Cake Kick. I knew I should have laid there and hold onto my foot while she sucked her thumb...

J is sleeping
M is in the tub, filled with bubbles and cars and all sorts of happiness
T is playing computer games downstairs in relative silence.

I've give 2 nebs, dragged M up the stairs by one arm while holding the baby with the other b/c he was trying to headbang while on the stairs and I was a little worried he'd fall (he was in the middle somewhere, and trying to bang while laying on his side, it was strange).

I'm worried about the headbanging. He used to only do it randomly, but for the last week or so he's been doing it as his default tantrum tool, no workup, just BAM drop to the floor and bang. And now he's doing it on the ceramic more and more. He gets himself so worked up I have to drag him off the tile floor and often sit on him. He's got less and less whiny tantrumming anymore, and it's all just immediately meltdown. I'm concerned about this.....

Thank you, I feel so normal in this thread.

I've had one of those in my house today...along with the knight in shining armor who we need to convince his job is to protect the princess and not kill the princess!

My son has lost his socks and underwear about four times today and my daughter is on her fourth or so outfit. I don't hear footsteps upstairs right now as daddy gives a bath, I hear a herd of elephants with loud shouts and monster noises jumping and shaking my house I can only imagine what they will choose to wear to bed if anything!

Maura only keeps Spongebob pj's on at night. Right now, she's in a diaper and a cowboy hat that she keeps putting on my head. Earlier, it was a diaper, snow pants and a backpack.

my morning consited of ds calmly watching cartoons for all of 10minutes...... then him dumping out toys and running around trying to also scare us and be stealthy for about 2hrs, then he calmly sat and watched tv on his couch, cuddling up with a blanket he stole from his dad.

more toy dumping and running around sensory seeking, then we did a dreaded bath, clipped his toenails, and after all that he wanted to nurse for comfort, and WOOO he napped.

he woke up 1hr ago, has been playing on my bed, messing it up and hiding under the covers etc, and now hes trying to scare me again by hiding behind things.

ds did exactly that for soooooooooooo long, i am always scared he will start again. it was the second you didnt respond to nurse him that second, or said no, or even if a toy wasnt where he wanted it to bed etc.... BOOM he was on the floor or hitting his head on the chair etc.

......... uh oh, i smell poop, brb to finish this reply

ETA: so, I don't know how or why he stopped, we did work with him on getting his frustration out by throwing beanie babies instead. But I cant say thats what did it, because on rare occasions he will hit his head again. We are at a disadvantage compared to you though, because we still havent started any therapy.

We've had a visit from the plumber after DS1 put a toy turtle, a few trains, and a TV remote in the toilet and flushed. We saved everything but the remote (: the one thing we actually needed). We also opened up the TV to pull out approximately 10 DVDs and CDs that DS2 had slid in there through the DVD slot in his attempt to watch them.

First, we own HSM 1&2 so I can't say anything, lol!

Second, I really expected worse out of your living room. My living room was covered in packing peanuts at one point (they were blowing in the box and saying they were making popcorn...) Then I got them to clean it all up. Collin put the box of peanuts next to the garbage can (heaven forbid we put anything IN the garbage can - except for Maura, who puts everything in...), Maura found the box, so the kitchen became covered in peanut, then she dragged the box and the rest of them back into the living room, where she then tried to eat the styrofoam peanuts.

However, we didn't have to call a plumber and have all our remotes, so I don't think we win any prizes today. Kerry, here's your bottle of rum, I think you win the prize!

oh, im slightly ocd, so everytime he runs away from a mess, i clean it up.... hence why each dumping incident seems like a big deal to me

it can be worse, thankfully hes getting most of his sensory seeking needs out by playing and rolling around on my bed, kicking the pillows etc.

and yes, the remotes would be a tragedy, we keep ours hidden up high, because he chewed one and fried it! *passes along a bottle of wine*

DS once microwaved my phone. Parenting tip: get insurance on your phone - it's only an additional 5 bucks a month, and boy was it worth it!

I don't even like rum, but today I just might drink it...
