Just a random (happy!) thought

Last night I had this dream. It was so vivid, I honestly feel like I was there. In it I gave birth to my daughter (future daughter, since Ronan's definately a boy!) I could write the entire thing on here and it would be like a birth story. I woke up from it and immediately thought "I have to remember this!!" So I played it over in my head 3 times before I moved off the bed. I can remember everything! I can picture the entire thing, I can hear it when people are talking, and I can physically feel different parts as well. I'm even a little sore like I actually gave birth (DS is 3, can't be from him!) The entire birth was calm and I could feel the love radiating in the room. It had a weird ending (of course, it's a dream, they all have weird endings!) but still. I feel like I met my future daughter or something.

I just thought I would share this, since I know most of my posts are intense court related balls of stress.

My friend had a dream of her daughter 2 years before she was even pregnant. So it is possible that that baby girl is your future daughter. When I was pregnant I had a dream about my Ds at the age he is now the only thing that is different is that his haiir was longer (but I don't plan on cutting it anytime soon so I gues there is really no difference

Cool.

There's a great book called "Soul Trek" that is all about how people connect with their kids before they are born.

I hope it comes true for you one day.
wow!!! in such detail??!! that really is awesome. i wonder when u actually have her if it will be deja vu.

my ex dreamt of our dd 6 years before she was born!! and he was so not teh marrying father guy. everyone was so surprised when they heard he had married. i guess thier surprise was the truth because a few years later it was over.
when I was pregnant with thomas I had a dream that i gave birth to Caleb. a 22m old Caleb. and the funny thing is that if Thomas had been born he'd have been 22m when Caleb was born. I didn't know what the dream was about until I had Caleb and did the math from my due date (end May '03) to March '05. it was so wicked. my dream was weird cuz he was wearing just socks and shoes and the funny thing is I have the socks and shoes right now! weird huh??

makes you feel all connected and stuff

do you know who wrote that?
I have those sorts of dreams probably about once a month or at the leas,t once every other month. I understand what you're saying, though, they are so vivid, so intense. Whenever I have them, I usually wake up with very sore abs! No doubt I'm probably contracting throughout my dream LOL!

I want a lot of kids, so hopefully it's dreams of the future! I'm also a midwife's assistant, so I could just be "dreaming about my day", LOL!

What a vivid dream! Don't dreams like that just stay with you for a while...as if you were remembering something that really happened...wild!

Just last week I dreamed I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive (let me add that since I've had no partner for ages, that would be impossible)...and it was so DEEP, feeling life inside me again. It made me want to be pregnant!

I too have had definite dreams of future children (both my boys and a girl I lost a few years back). I believe there is a connection to children and other important people in your life before you "meet".

When I read your post, though, I automatically thought the daughter in your dream was Kathleen and that maybe this was an omen for good things in your upcoming custody battle? Just my first reaction, I may be offbase.

Ooo, That would be wonderful. I am still so amaized at the intensity of that dream. I was tired the whole day, like I wasn't really sleeping too.

The end was weird. She was born wonderfully, etc.. then all of a sudden everyone had to leave to go somewhere. They all got in one car and I got in the other. I drove up the street, then flipped out because I realized I hadn't birthed the placenta yet. I drove home and birthed the placenta in the bathroom. I looked down and say my daughter floating in the bathtub (I know, weird.) I picked her up, she looked at me, and I heard her in me head say "Everything's alright, it's all going to be ok" and then she started crying like a newborn. That was the first time in the dream she cried. I sat down on th floor and nursed her. Then I paniced because I didn't know how to get to the phone to get someone to come home and help me. I had this newborn baby, still attached to the placenta, and I didn't know how to carry her, the placenta, and my (naked) self all at once. I woke up in complete panic.

No idea what that means either, but all in all it was an amaizing experience. I can't get it out of my mind.

I think it sounds like you know in your heart that you've been the one who's been taking care of her, even when it's hard on you and you feel unsure about what the future holds........... It sounds like a very powerful dream.
I knew I would give birth to and raise a son named Sebastian before I even hit my teen years - at a time when I was swearing I'd never have children.

As soon as I got pregnant with him at age 20, I knew this was my son, Sebastian.

Speaking of knowing you're going to have a child....

When I was 11 yrs old I went to Girl Scout camp. It's not the kind you do with your own troop....you're at a camp where GSs from all over the country can go. Well, i think it was like the 2nd or 3rd night there when some of us, about 6 girls, were all sitting down in the lounge area just talking. I can't remember what we were talking about...probably something like what we would be like in the future...what we were going to do. Now, a little history: I was an honor roll student. Very Christian, never kissed a boy, never smoked, never even thought about drugs, never even know what birth control pills were! So, we're all sitting there and the girls are talking about college, careers, etc. When all of a sudden, I burst out, "I don't know why, but I just have this image of me begin 19 yrs old, pregnant by my boyfriend, and I'm standing on the curb by my house at night and my boyfriend drives away from me. Like he's driving our of my life and leaving me "on my own".

Well! You can imagine the silence that followed THAT comment! LOL! I was totally speechless myself! I had NEVER thought of that in my entire life and had NO IDEA why that came out of my mouth! I was embarassed but nobody said anything rude to me. It was just kind of like silence, and then change the subject. I thought about it a little bit that night and wondered why in the HECK I said that, because I didn't feel that at all! I KNEW I was not going to have sex before marriage, etc. Even though I wanted tchildren, I knew I would go to college, then get married, then have children.

Well, several years down the road, I'm 19, pregnant with my first (and only so far) child, and my boyfriend has "driven out" of our lives (fortunately!). It wasn't until after I had Noah that the night of my girl scout thing came into my head. I was immediately shocked, amazed, and a bit freaked out, too! I couldn't believe that what I had said at 11 yrs old actually happened...and not just that I said I'd be pregnant and not married, but the exact age, the exact time in my life, the exact thing with my bf, etc.

interesting...

I knew in a weird way since I was a young teenager that I would be a single mother. I had dreams about it all the time, though at the time I thought it was because I would be widowed, not left...

When I was pregnant with DS, I would have dreams constantly, almost every night, that I gave birth to a cat. In my dreams, I would carry the cat around calling it my son. I even had dreams I was nursing a cat. The cat was always either black and white or siamese - which I think was my mind's way of trying to interpret my DS's biracial background.

What's funny about those dreams is "kitty" was my son's first word....
