I'm new here & wanted to say hello & introduce myself. I'm Shannon, wife to my wonderful dh for 4 years & mom to Tyler (10) & Jordan (2), with baby boy # 3 on the way in Sept. My acutal dd is Sept. 10th, but I really think he'll make his entrance later than that. Just a hunch.

I'm having an HBAC this time around, which is new territory for me, & am very excited about it. I have a really great midwife here & am soooo looking forward to this birth. I had a vaginal birth with my first & a c/s with my second due to the dr thinking he was too big after 12 hours of induced labor & me not dialating past a 6. He turned out to be smaller than my first! So this time things will be much different & I'm trying to be well armed with knowledge this time around.

We've lived in southern Nevada for the past 2 years now. I'm dreading the heat that's on it's way.

Anyone else from around here?

I'm Amanda, mama to Alexander (6.5 yrs), tandem nurslings Zachary (almost 5) and Haley (almost 3) and Moonbaby (due Sept. 16th give or take 2 weeks). I will be having my first homebirth after 1 medicated hospital birth, 1 natural hospital birth, and 1 midwife-attended birth center waterbirth.

Welcome! I'm also a planned HBAC, and am very excited. Congratulations, and best of luck. BTW, my 2nd was also a c-sec, and I had a great birthing center VBAC with my 3rd. Hoping that my HBAC will be even better.

Welcome! My name is Leanne, but I am just Goldie. I have a 5.5 y/o autistic ds, and a 2.5 y/o precious dd. We are expecting another girl so they tell me. We had 2 hospital births and are planning a midwife attended hospital birth this time. Hopefully it will be a waterbirth.

I envy you being able to have a homebirth. But I am respecting my dh in that he doesn't feel comfortable with it.
