Hi. the post 'oh lord help me now' encouraged me to write this post. I also have a 13 dd who is homeschooled, we live in a town of 200, farming family. However, we are pretty liberal and open in our house around everything, including sex.
Well, I am very aware of my dd's activities on the computer, but it seems that she and her "friend" who she met and exchanged emails with last summer, have been "talking dirty' which basically amounts to chat-sex. I tightened the reins around internet use, asked her to use my user account, shut down MSN chat- since you cannot retrieve the chats- and we just have been talking about the strange sense of anonymity on the internet.
This poor girl is fully physically mature, she often is mistaken for an adult, she get compliments on her cute son when she is with her brother...yikes!
I trust her so much, she has good books on sex and her body, we talk a bit although she has limited tolerance and gets embarrased easily. She is just feeling very sexual!
I just am not sure what to do. I basically said she should talk on the phone and if she can't say it on the phone she shouldn't say it on the net, but did I just encourage my 13 yr old to have phone sex?? Hhmmm...not really my goal.
I am honestly open to any and all ideas on how to respectfully provide guidance and safety to my rapidly maturing daughter!
BTW, she actually hits her head on things because she forget she has gotten so tall in the past 6 months, MAJOR growth and hormonal surges.

I offer the same suggestion I did in the other thread.

A diary. It can provide a place for her to explore these things with herself and without bringing other people into it..
