If any of you remember from this thread about me being worried about having a boy because of differences in opinion on circumcision...well, my dh has completely changed his veiws on it
I'm just over the moon happy that it didn't end up being a terrbible battle and didn't have to threaten divorce over it. The really great this is that he's not just letting me have my way, but actually understands how unnesasary it really is!

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

So do you mind sharing how he changed his mind? I know there are other mama's on here having this same problem right now who would love to hear what worked.

Congrats on your little one and one less thing to worry about.

Congratulations!!!

When I was pregnant and DH and I decided to leave our twin boys intact, we discussed the fact that circumciison was mostly a social/cultural thing, one which we did not feel obligated to perpetuate. I remember one of us saying "It has to stop somewhere - it might as well be with us!"

Not only have you ended the cycle of circumcision with your son, you have almost guaranteed that your grandchildren will remain intact as well.

It takes a brave man to face up to the fact that circumcision IS unnecessary. Three cheers for your hubby!

I'm not sure if it's any one thing that changed his mind. I'm sure that the statistics of how circumcision rates have gone down had a big part of it. He was really concerned about his son getting made fun for not looking like everyone else. Also, I think that he genuinly thought that it's important for health reasons still for it, but not anymore
thanks to MDC!

The whole Corbin thing may take a little longer
but I think I may be willing to have it as a middle name

I think Corbin would be an awesome middle name too
I'm so glad that your dh came around! Good for you for sticking with it and it's also really good that you didn't have to mention divorce...

love and peace.
