Human milk contains all the vitamin D that human babies need to ingest. The only reason we need so much Vitamin D in our diets is because not everybody gets enough sunlight. The truth is that ALL humans (I'm not sure about other species) can make Vitamin D!!!!!

Vitamin D can also be found in some fish- so dairy products are NOT the only dietary source of Vitamin D!!!!

In general, Sesame Street is very pro-FF. Even Mama Bear had a hospital birth and bought bottles while she was still pg. Although, since she says it's "bear milk and honey" in the bottles, I like to assume that she pumps

I love Sesame Street! It's one of two kid's shows I've ever seen a mother nursing a baby on (and in public, to boot! She was sitting on a park bench nursing her baby while her older kid played on the swings.). The other was Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.

Personally, I think it's a result of the "Goldilocks: The Missing Chapter". I mean, that little girl came in and broke Baby Bear's Chair, ate all his porridge, and slept in his bed. "Somebody's been operating on my Mama, and she removed all her mammary glands!"

I got up so too early this morning...

TortelliniMama have you ever heard them do the tortellini song? The mom is trying to get the baby to say tortellini and all he's say is mama.

Yeah, that's where my username is from. It was one of the first songs ds could sing along with me (I'd sing the "tortellini"s and he's add the "mama"s, since that was one of the few words he knew). I'm half-amused at the irony of having my MDC username be inspired by Sesame Street, and I'm half : about it. :LOL
