Anybody in KC have suggestions for places to go with DD (2) on weekend nights? DH is in a band, so DD and I often find ourselves at home wanting to get out of the house on Friday or Saturday evenings. With it getting dark earlier and the weather getting colder, the park is out now.

I am trying to set up a babysitting swap with another couple so I can she can have a playmate and I can go see DH's band once a month or so... but that option is an "either get out of the house OR spend time with DD, pick one" compromise and I think I can do better. Since I work full time, I hate to increase the amount of time she spends away from family.

Or... does anyone know of kid-friendly local venues compatible with a rock band with full drum set playing indoors?

yeni,
Hi, my name is Claire and I'm new here. I actually came to this website to meet people in the area who are of the same mindset as me and my boyfriend.

I do not have any suggestions for places that are kid-friendly to go with DD on the weekends, but I am also very interested in a babysitting swap and/or playgroup for like-minded mamas and daddies. Actually, I am looking for friends with babies in the area to get together with occaisonally. I can't talk now. Caleb, my only son (4 months) is up and needs attention.
I'll write more later and tell you more about myself and my BF.
indoors?
