An apology wouldn't have gone astray but at least he let us enjoy all the insults that came his way

I sent this to him earlier today:

Dear Mr. Schram,

I want to thank you for your comments regarding the breastfeeding awareness campaign in New York City this week. Your comments were exactly what the lactivists in Seattle needed to hear in order to unite and confront widespread ignorance and misconceptions rampant in our society today. In addition, your comments shed light on the obvious sexual dysfunction of many of American males who are unable to differentiate seeing a woman nourishing a child versus seeing a woman's breasts as sexual.

Thank you, Mr. Schram. Because of you, the Seattle population of breastfeeding lactivists will unite to make a statements against your brand of journalism. We have a local, tangible foe to confront. You give us focus and you give our campaign new meaning.

And because of your statements, I will be sure to stay away from any KOMO programming and make sure my wide circle of friends do so as well.

Yeah, I noticed that he didn't issue any sort of apology or retraction - just a sort of "and this was the result of what I said" kind of statement. I believe he still stands behind his statement and that you may be right, he may be trying to bait some folks.

I would have thought that perhaps all of the emails might let him see that there are other sides to it - but I notice he left out any intelligent commentary that people wrote him and only stuck to the insults. So apparently he isn;t getting the lesson at all. Unfortunate.

I am saddened that all he heard was the most stinging comments - which he definately provoked, but there were also a lot of good medical info and social issues discussed that he apparently just ignored. He is just trying to pick a fight and get the most rousing responses from us possible so we can look like idiots. I think we'd better be careful to not sound stupid and beware of your more pointed comments being sound bited. I'm not saying to tone it down but make sure you don't play into his hand.
