I live in Maple Valley, and would love some more AP mamas around here!

I take my dd to a family doc in Renton- I've been with the practice since I was born. He pushes vaxes more then I would like, but hasn't been too forceful about it. I'd probably see someone else if my insurance covered more holistic practicioners, but it only does if I get a referal from my primary care provider. However, I've seen lots of docs recommended within an hours drive of here, so I'd say there are a lot of healthcare options.

I often drive up to Issaquah for "big" shopping trip because its only 25 minutes from my house and they have a Trader Joe's, PCC (a natural foods market), Costco, Target, Fred Meyer, Albertsons, Safeway, and QFC so you can hit all the sales at once. For shorter shopping trips I hit the Fred Meyer in Covington the most. Sometimes I make the trek to Whole Foods in Bellevue if I need a lot of stuff. You can also head towards Federal Way (25 minutes in the other direction) for a Costco, Target, Trader Joe's, Marlene's Market (another natural food place), and a lot of mainstream grocery stores as well. My DH works for Costco and they plan on building one in Covington sometime next year. Now if only I could convince Trader Joe's to build in Covington- I've already picked out a vacant building for them

I'm guessing you are asking about schooling here? I wasn't sure. My DD is only 2 1/2 and we haven't looked into them too much, but there are a lot of options. There are several co-ops ran out of both Green River Community College and Bellevue Community College, so there are a lot of options.

My DD LOVES Lake Wilderness park! There are a lot of great bike and hiking trails within a short distace. At the Maple Valley community center they have an indoor playground that is only $1 per family, though sometimes it draws an interesting crowd.
http://www.maplevalleycc.org/ The libraries in Maple Valley, Covington, and Kent all have decent story times and kids sections. With Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma within an hour (plus or minues with traffic
) there are endless parks, children's museums, etc to visit.
Feel free to PM me if I can be of any other help!
