Hah...when it rains...it pours....

"Key figures in a phone-jamming scheme designed to keep New Hampshire Democrats from voting in 2002 had regular contact with the White House and Republican Party as the plan was unfolding, phone records introduced in criminal court show.

"The records show that Bush campaign operative James Tobin, who recently was convicted in the case, made two dozen calls to the White House within a three-day period around Election Day 2002 -- as the phone jamming operation was finalized, carried out and then abruptly shut down.

"The national Republican Party, which paid millions in legal bills to defend Tobin, says the contacts involved routine election business and that it was "preposterous" to suggest the calls involved phone jamming."

Dunno. But it was a very close race between Shaheen and Sunnunu.

Good information on the matter here:

anyone read the book "Fooled Again". the same thing is going to happen in 2006 and 2008 unless more ppl realize what happened the last 2 elections.

and thats not all they did...they rented cars and put them in parking lots near voting booths in order to discourage voters (where there was little parking spaces).

all sorts of tricks in NH, Ohio and Florida as well as other states.

The author of Fooled Again was on CSPAN last weekend..i think he was at UMASS Amherst speaking, if memory serves me well (and it has been serving me less well lately! lol!)
now, now, I am sure that they were just calling to talk about what tie would go best with the suit they were going to wear...
Who wears a suit and tie in New Hampshire, eh?
