Okay, so I can hardly eat anything in the evenings when my m/s is worst. crackers, cream of wheat, banana muffin, tea...and sometimes those are iffy.
So, last night I actually used an entire dose of my anti nausea medicine, phenegran (which the 1st time I did this I slept until 12:30 the next day, thus 1/2ing it). About 2 hours after I took it, I was predictably in a sleepy fog, but HUNGRY! I have not been hungry at night in 3 weeks, queasy at night, puking at night, knowing I need to eat and choking something down but it is difficult, but not hungry.
I called in my sweet husband who was in the middle of putting our two kids to bed...mid story.... and tell him I need him to go to get me fried chicken. and mashed potatoes with gravy! NOW!!!!!!!
Okay, if I'm gonna have cravings why can't it be for something good? or healthy?
I scarfed the chicken and the potatoes
(in bed too, I couldn't even get up), didn't puke and then fell asleep before the kids. crazy crazy pregnancy cravings.

There's something about KFC!! My last pregnancy I craved KFC Famous Bowls like crazy!

I agree with the crack theory!

At this point I figure if the only thing that stays down is crappy food, that's fine. You'll have plenty of time to eat good food when the ms goes away.

Eat whatever you can. seriously. I actually have my own theories on why "junk" stays down better than "healthy" food, but that's a longer story than i want to type right now, lol!

But, I must admit, you are making me almost hurl at craving KFC!!! Dh manages a KFC, and comes home at night smelling so HORRIBLE!!!!!

That's too funny, I had to run get kfc last night because all I could think about all day was their gravy! MMMM, I have never had that craving before, kfc is definitely not a first choice for me, but the baby wanted gravy I guess!

LoL . . . I have to agree!!!

Yeah, I am having a tough time finding anything to eat that's appetizing and doesn't make me gag. I have been eating daily half a frozen pizza and french fries (at least I fry them myself) and not much else. I learned from last pregnancy (when I only ate soy nuggets and cold pasta with sauce) to be very forgiving of your eating habits first trimester and commit to doing great for the rest of the pregnancy (which I did). FWIW, if I wasn't vegetarian, I'd be eating KFC too . . . something about those mashed potatoes and gravy . . .

Thats funny, I craved KFC mashed potatoes like crazy with my first. It was the only thing that settled my stomach! But, yeah, I agree to the eat whatever stays down sentiment. Worry about eating healthy when you aren't so sick all the time.

Hmmm, now I'm craving KFC mashed potatoes

My husband went by chick-fil-a this morning and asked what I wanted for breakfast, when I told him "Chicken biscuit with cheese, lemonade and a cole slaw" he acted all grossed out. *roll* Like it's -that- weird. He said the woman behind the counter almost wouldn't sell it to him till he told her I was pregnant.

Really though, of the fast food place Chick-Fil-A is probably one of the better ones to crave. I worked there after high school and most of the stuff (at that point) was prepared in house and not quite as full of crap as many fast food places. Could have changed some now.
