...and I am SOOO excited about it!
Just wanted to share.
The way my kitchen is set up I have a peninsula (instead of an island :LOL) with my oven and some counter space...on the other side of that used to be our "dinette" (ie super-small dining room).
A while ago we moved the kitchen table out of the dinette and into the living room/family room (*the room* that we live in) and made some space for an eventual play area.
My uncle is currently building a fence/gate for us out of wood (it is SOOO beautiful) and this will gate off the play area (mainly to keep the dog out...I'm so tired of pulling dog hair out of dd's mouth
) and to make a safe place where she can play and explore while I'm cooking.
My aunt is giving me a hand-me-down wooden kitchen set
and eventually I'd like to get a doll house (when dd is a little older).
DH bought some primary color foam squares to put down on the floor (I'm torn about this...seems practical but foam isn't exactly in keeping in line with my attempts at a more natural/green home).
That's about it so far. But I'm very excited about it!!
Since we didn't do a nursery this is the first time I've decorated/designed space for dd!!
Anyone else have a playroom/area in their house? What's it like? Do you have photos?
