Is it possible to have a reaction to this? I used the one with olive oil, aloe and sodium chloride listed as the only ingredients - a few days later (probably almost a week), broke out in a rash - everywhere where the soap touched (everywhere but my scalp and back).

I really didn't think it could have been from that, but I stopped using the soap immediately anyway, and the rash lasted 2 weeks.

Then it went away for two weeks, and I was in a pinch and used the soap again. next day the rash is back - same exact rash.

I'm also pretty sure I've used this soap before - like years ago, with no reaction.
What do you think - does it sound like a reaction to this soap? how the heck could I be reacting to something with such benign ingredients!??!

If that's the only thing you've done differently, then it must be the soap. And ANY thing can cause ANY reaction (my standard line is any food can cause any reaction, but I take it you aren't eating the soap!). Do you eat olive oil normally? If you don't normally have aloe in things, then maybe it's the aloe. You could do a patch test and put some aloe gel on a bandaid and put it on your stomach (after the rash is gone again) and see what happens. That's what the doctor told me to do to see if I was allergic to the Bacitracin or the Neosporin (turns out it was both).

Well, I wouldn't use that bar (aloe allergy), but the plain kiss my face olive oil bar soap contains nothing (labeled) that I'm allergic to . . . yet when I use it, I break out in a prickly, itchy, horrid rash all over.

So I don't use it.

Do you really? That's really interesting - I'm definitely not going to use it anymore (I wouldn't have anyway, but at least now I know that it's at least possible to have a reaction like that even when you're not allergic to the listed ingredients!!!)
